Back in 2021, Motorola launched the Moto G100 for the global market, featuring the Snapdragon 870 chipset. It was essentially a rebranded version of the Motorola Edge S, which had debuted earlier in China. Fast forward to today, the Lenovo-owned brand has silently launched the Moto G100 Pro in China. Positioned as a mid-range offering, the device features a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and integrates an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The phone also comes equipped with dual speakers powered by Dolby Atmos.
For photography, the Moto G100 Pro sports a 32-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, it houses a dual-camera setup led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It runs Android 15 with Motorola’s Hello UI skin on top.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. It is available in two RAM options—8GB and 12GB—and offers 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The device is backed by a massive 6,720mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. For added durability, the phone boasts IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings and is MIL-STD 810H certified. It measures 161.21 x 74.74 x 7.87mm and weighs 198 grams.
Moto G100 Pro price and availability
In China, the Moto G100 Pro is priced at 1,399 Yuan (~$195) for the 8GB+256GB model, 1,499 Yuan (~$210 or Rs 17,920) for the 12GB+256GB model, and 1,699 Yuan (~$240) for the 12GB+512GB version. It comes in four color options: Pine Smoke Blue, Tundra Blue, Clouds Ink Black, and Silk Purple.
The Moto G100 Pro appears to be limited to the Chinese market. However, on the global stage, the same phone is offered under the Moto G86 moniker. The variant with the 6,720mAh battery is called the Moto G86 Power, while the one with a smaller 5,200mAh battery goes by the Moto G86 name.
