LG is expanding its home entertainment lineup in the US with the launch of the CineBeam S Mini, a compact 4K projector that has already been rolling out in other regions. Pre-orders are live now through LG’s online store, with shipping expected to begin the week of October 6.

The projector, officially listed as the CineBeam S 4K UHD Smart Projector (PU615U), first appeared in Canada, Australia, the UK and parts of Europe back in August. US customers can now reserve one for $1,299.99. As an added perk, LG is bundling in a free S40TR soundbar—normally around $280—if you order before October 5.
Despite its small footprint (6.3 x 6.3 x 4.3 inches), the CineBeam S Mini is built to deliver a full home theater experience. It can project images up to 100 inches wide from close range thanks to its 0.25:1 ultra short throw ratio. Inside, a triple laser DLP system produces 4K resolution, 500 ANSI lumens brightness, and a hefty 450,000:1 contrast ratio. LG also claims 154% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, along with support for HDR10 and Filmmaker Mode.
On the usability front, the projector includes autofocus, automatic screen adjustment, and eight preset picture modes. It runs LG’s webOS platform, so streaming apps like Disney+, Apple TV, and Prime Video are available out of the box. Wireless casting through AirPlay and Miracast is supported too.
For sound, the unit has built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility, though many buyers may pair it with the bundled soundbar for a fuller setup. Ports include HDMI eARC and USB-C.
With its mix of portability, modern streaming features, and an attractive launch deal, the CineBeam S Mini looks set to appeal to movie lovers who want a big-screen experience without a bulky projector.
