One UI 9 is a major upgrade for Samsung devices that’s built on top of Android 17. It brings exciting upgrades to Galaxy AI, including the new My FanCam, visual upgrades across key elements, and more robust security and privacy protections.
Samsung debuted One UI 9 with its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, in July, and later rolled it out to older Galaxy devices, starting with the Galaxy S26 series. The update will gradually expand to the remaining eligible devices.

This isn’t an official list from Samsung, but it has been prepared by us after carefully reviewing the software update policy for each device and, therefore, must be accurate. But we’ll still cross-check against the official list when it’s announced and make any required changes.
If your Galaxy device is on the list, it will certainly receive the One UI 9 update. But if it’s the other way around, you may want to upgrade to a newer model to continue receiving the latest features and updates.
