One UI 9 testing devices

While the One UI 9 beta program is currently restricted to the Galaxy S26 phones, Samsung is internally testing the Android 17-based build on many other Galaxy devices, including some mid-range phones. This could mean the company might soon allow them to take part in the beta program.

Here’s a list of Galaxy devices that have been spotted on Samsung’s servers with a One UI 9.0 test firmware:

  • Galaxy S25
  • Galaxy S25+
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra
  • Galaxy A57
  • Galaxy A34
  • Galaxy A17 5G
  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 (unreleased)
  • Galaxy Z Flip 8 (unreleased)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (unreleased)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7

Well, this doesn’t guarantee a quicker One UI 9 release for these devices, but it could mean Samsung may be looking to expand the ongoing beta program to them. We’ll let you know when that happens.

The One UI 9 beta program is currently available for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, with no official announcement regarding its expansion. However, based on past releases, we can confidently say the beta expansion to other Galaxy devices should be around the corner.

The stable One UI 9 software, based on Android 17, is expected to debut with the upcoming foldable phones – the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Rumors say these devices will be unveiled on July 22.
