Honor has teased the arrival of a new X-series smartphone, the Honor X80 Pro Max, while also celebrating a major milestone for the lineup. The company has confirmed that the device will be unveiled later this month, giving consumers an early look at what could be one of its most ambitious mid-range smartphones yet.
Honor X80 Pro Max launch confirmed

Alongside the teaser, Honor revealed that the X-series has now surpassed 130 million users globally. The series has built a reputation around durability and reliability over the years, and the upcoming X80 Pro Max appears set to continue that approach.
According to recent leaks, the Honor X80 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2788 x 1280 pixels. The device is also tipped to adopt a flagship-inspired design language and could be offered in Lightning Red, Black, White and Orange colour options. Under the hood, it is said to be powered by the all-new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
One of the most notable rumoured features is the 11,000mAh battery, which would make it one of the largest batteries seen on a mainstream smartphone. The device is expected to support 90W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging.

The X80 Pro Max’s base model is expected to pack 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. For photography, it may feature a 50-megapixel camera on the back. Like the recent Honor phones, it will also run on MagicOS 10-based Android 16.
Reports also suggest comprehensive water and dust resistance along with a reinforced chassis designed to withstand accidental drops and rough everyday use. Honor has not yet revealed the official specifications or pricing of the X80 Pro Max. More details are expected when the device is formally unveiled later this month.
The global version of the device is likely to carry the Honor Magic 9 Lite. There’s a possibility that it may pack a smaller battery than the X80 Pro Max.
