A new Chromebook has arrived for users looking for a simple, cloud-first laptop experience. Asus has unveiled the Chromebook CX15 in India, bringing Google AI-powered features, ChromeOS, and a lightweight design to students, young professionals, and first-time laptop buyers. The launch also marks Asus first Chromebook rollout through offline retail stores in the country.

The Asus Chromebook CX15 runs ChromeOS and is deeply integrated with Google’s ecosystem, allowing users to access AI-powered tools across work, study, and entertainment. Buyers also receive a three-month Google AI Pro membership, which includes premium Gemini features across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Gemini Notebook, along with 5TB of cloud storage. The package also includes Google Flow for AI video creation, advanced editing tools in Google Photos, Nano Banana image generation, and YouTube Premium Lite.
The laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS NanoEdge display with 300 nits of brightness, an anti-glare coating, and an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio for a more immersive viewing experience.
The Chromebook is powered by the Intel Processor N50, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. ASUS says the hardware is designed for web browsing, online classes, document editing, video calls, and other cloud-based workloads.
Weighing 1.59kg, the Chromebook CX15 meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards and comes in a Pure Grey finish inspired by traditional Japanese washi paper. Asus claims the laptop can deliver up to 12.5 hours of battery life on a single charge and bundles a 45W USB Type-C charger in the box. Security features include the Titan C security chip, automatic ChromeOS security updates, and a physical webcam privacy shutter.

The Asus Chromebook CX15 is priced at Rs. 47,990 (~$500) and is now available through ASUS Exclusive Stores, ROG Stores, the ASUS eShop, Reliance Digital, and other authorized retail partners across India.
