Samsung Android 17 update

One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, has already debuted on the latest Galaxy foldables, and it will soon start rolling out to older devices. There’s a long list of devices in line to receive this major Android OS upgrade, but for 19 of them, this will be the end of the road for OS updates.

Samsung is the best in the business at offering longer update cycles, but even that has to come to an end at some point. Soon, over a dozen Galaxy devices, including many high-end phones and tablets, will stop receiving OS updates after upgrading to Android 17.

The list has been prepared after carefully reviewing the software update policy for every Galaxy device, and so it must be accurate.

All the Galaxy devices on the list are guaranteed to receive the upcoming One UI 9.0 update, based on Android 17. However, this won’t just be the end of software updates for them.

The devices will still continue to receive security updates for at least a year. Many of them are likely to receive the One UI 9.5 update sometime next year, since it will also be based on Android 17. After that, Samsung won’t release any new feature upgrades for these devices.
