The device runs Android 16 and features an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security. Its large 6.89-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display offers a 1440 x 3168-pixel resolution and approximately 505 ppi density. With a 165Hz refresh rate and punch-hole design, the panel delivers smooth visuals, while brightness reaches an impressive 6000 nits for enhanced visibility in bright outdoor conditions.
Photography is handled by a quad rear camera system centered around a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization. The setup supports 8K UHD video recording for capturing highly detailed footage. A 50MP front camera handles selfies and video calls, offering high-resolution imaging for everyday photography. The camera system is suited to general photography, portraits, video recording, and social media content creation.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset paired with an octa-core processor. iQOO 16 comes with 12GB of RAM and an additional 12GB of virtual RAM, alongside 256GB of internal storage. Memory expansion through a card is not supported, so users must depend on the available built-in capacity for applications, games, photos, videos, and other files.
Connectivity options include 4G, 5G, and VoLTE support, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless communication and compatible accessories. NFC enables supported contactless functions, while an IR blaster provides remote-control functionality for compatible devices. Wired connectivity uses a faster USB Type-C 3.2 port. The device does not include an FM radio or a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
A large 8500mAh battery provides substantial power for extended daily usage and demanding activities such as gaming, streaming, browsing, and video recording. The device supports extremely fast 150W wired charging for quicker battery replenishment. Reverse charging is also available, allowing the phone to share power with compatible accessories or other devices. The combination of high capacity and fast charging improves overall convenience.
