Sony is getting ready for Grand Theft Auto VI in a pretty cool way. At the latest State of Play event, they showed off limited-edition DualSense controllers made specifically for the game, giving fans something tangible to match the hype.

There are two versions, black and white, and both will launch on November 19, the same day as GTA VI itself. They’re priced at 12,480 yen (around $80 / €70 / £60) and are clearly aimed at collectors. Pre-orders open September 10 on PlayStation Direct and at select retailers, but supplies will be limited.

The design leans hard into Vice City vibes. Both controllers get a special surface treatment that feels like the game’s atmosphere. The “VI” logo sits on the touchpad, and palm tree patterns are molded into the body as a nod to Leonida’s tropical setting. A shimmering, color-shifting gradient runs across them, mixing sunset and neon tones to capture that day-to-night energy. The white version pulls from bright coastal days and pastel skies, while the black one goes for the nightlife feel.

Sony also made a point of highlighting how the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback will matter in GTA VI. Those features are expected to add a lot of detail to driving, shooting, and just moving through the world, so these limited controllers should feel like a natural fit for the full experience.

The whole thing underlines how closely Sony and Rockstar are working together. By dropping the controllers on launch day, they’re giving fans an easy way to celebrate the release while leaning into the immersion the DualSense already offers. With pre-orders opening soon and stock looking tight, these are probably going to move fast.
