Xiaomi is expanding its smart home lineup again, this time with a new bathroom heater that focuses on faster heating, better ventilation, and full ecosystem integration. The Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater 2 is now up for pre-sale, packing heating, smart sensors, and bright lighting into one ceiling-mounted unit.

The standout features are its dual-drive high suction power and a bunch of practical smart functions. It uses a dual-fan, single-duct design with dual DC inverter motors, capable of moving up to 300 m³/h of air, enough for a full air change in as little as 90 seconds. Heating comes from a PTC graphene element that peaks at 3,000W, which Xiaomi says heats up quickly and conducts heat efficiently.

The smart side is pretty thorough. It has an advanced temperature and humidity sensing system that works with the DC inverter motors to adjust heating based on how warm it actually feels to a person, rather than just the air temperature.

Dual 24GHz millimeter-wave radars handle human detection, so the lights can turn on automatically and the ventilation can kick in when someone enters or leaves. There’s also a built-in VOC sensor that triggers automatic ventilation if the air quality drops.

For lighting, it uses a 1,600 lumen high-brightness LED with stepless dimming, so you can set it exactly how you like. You can control it a few different ways: through Xiaomi’s Smart Connect (Pengpai Zhilian) system, the Mi Home app, Xiao Ai voice commands, or the digital display panel right on the unit for power, temperature, and other settings. Overall, the Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater 2 feels like a step up from basic bathroom heaters.

Pricing and availability

The Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater 2 is currently listed at Xiaomi Youpin and JD.com at 1,117 yuan, which translates to about €143 at the current exchange rate. The brand has not announced a global launch date as of writing.
