Aigo has released the PL10 in China, a new flash drive built for iPhone and iPad users who want to move files off their devices without relying on cloud storage or cables. The drive is currently listed on JD.com.
Aigo PL10 Specifications
The PL10 uses a T-shaped aluminum body that plugs directly into the bottom of your phone or tablet. It features two connectors: a Lightning connector on one side for Apple devices and a USB-C connector on the other for connecting to laptops, newer iPads, and other compatible hardware. The drive uses the USB 3.2 standard and carries Apple’s MFi certification. It supports iPhones ranging from the iPhone X series up to the current iPhone 17 lineup.
The drive features a physical write-protection switch that lets you switch between writable and read-only modes. When set to read-only mode, you can still open and view stored files, but they cannot be edited, overwritten, or deleted. This adds an extra layer of protection against accidental changes or data loss when you connect the drive to another device.
To manage files on an iPhone, you need to install the Aigo Link app. The software is limited to iOS and iPadOS, with no support for Android or HarmonyOS. Through the app, you can back up uncompressed photos, videos, and Live Photos from local storage or iCloud. There is one limitation to keep in mind during backups: the app needs to remain open on the screen. Locking your phone or switching to another app may interrupt the process.
The app also includes a custom camera interface that lets you record media directly to the drive, helping conserve your phone’s local storage. It supports RAW photos and includes a picture-in-picture mode that records 1080p video from the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
For standard video, the app supports up to 4K at 60fps on the iPhone 17 series, while iPhone 16 and older models are limited to 4K at 30fps. The drive can also handle ProRes Log and HDR files, although depending on your iPhone model, you may need to record these through Apple’s native Camera app instead. Additionally, the Aigo Link app supports Face ID and Touch ID, allowing you to protect specific files with biometric authentication.
Pricing and Availability
The PL10 is available in three storage capacities: 128GB for 399 yuan ($59), 256GB for 599 yuan ($89), and 512GB for 999 yuan ($149). These are now listed on JD.com in China.
