Timex has released two new watches in the US as part of its ongoing collaboration with Los Angeles-based jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche. The new models, which fall under the Éclat collection, are the first rectangular timepieces produced through this partnership. They are available now on the Timex website.
Design Details
The release includes two distinct variations built around the same 24mm stainless steel case. The base model (TW6A15200), priced at $400, features a polished gold-tone finish across the case and bracelet, paired with a matching gold-tone sunray dial.
The second model (TW6A15000) costs $500 and uses a two-tone stainless steel finish. Instead of a standard metal dial, the $500 version features a dial cut from natural rose quartz, meaning the exact pattern and texture of the stone will vary between individual units.
Both watches share the same core design elements, integrating Aiche’s jewelry background into the hardware. The center of the dial features the designer’s signature eye motif, which is also engraved on the rear caseback. Timex has placed crystal markers at the hour positions, and the rectangular bezel is lined with an additional 28 hand-set crystals.
In terms of dimensions, these are relatively compact watches. The case measures 24mm across, with a 34mm lug-to-lug distance and a thickness of 9mm. They weigh approximately 86 grams. The 18mm stainless steel bracelet secures with a butterfly deployant clasp and can be adjusted to fit wrist sizes ranging from 135mm to 190mm (5.3 to 7.5 inches).
Internally, the watches rely on a standard battery-powered quartz analog movement, running on an SR626SW battery. The hands include a luminescent fill so the time can be read in low light. For durability, Timex is using mineral crystal over the dial rather than the more scratch-resistant sapphire glass often found in higher-end watches.
The water resistance is rated at 30 meters, which means the hardware can survive hand-washing and light splashes, but it is not built for swimming, showering, or diving.
