Add GIZMOCHINA as Preferred Source on Google
Fresh promotional images of Lenovo’s upcoming Googlebook 15 have started floating around online, giving us a pretty clear look at one of the first devices built for Google’s new laptop platform.
Tipster Evan Blass shared the renders, which also show a matching mouse with a light strip, plus a few other accessories. It looks like Googlebook isn’t just a single product. It’s coming with a small ecosystem around it. Pre-orders are expected to open on September 21.
The laptop measures roughly 341.1 × 236 × 16 mm and weighs about 1.29 kg. On the lid you’ll find a “Glowbar” indicator that shows battery and charging status. Inside is a 15.3-inch 2880 × 1800 OLED touchscreen that runs at 120 Hz, hits 500 nits peak brightness, and covers the full DCI-P3 color gamut.
Above the display sits a 5 MP facial recognition camera with a physical privacy shutter. The keyboard deck has a large 150 × 95 mm haptic-feedback touchpad and a backlit keyboard with a dedicated Google “G” key sitting between the Fn and Alt keys. No one knows exactly what that key does yet, but most people expect it to launch Gemini AI or handle some system-level function.
Under the hood, the Googlebook 15 is expected to pack an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, paired with either 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of SSD storage. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and the 70 Wh battery is rated for up to 11 hours of use. Ports include dual Thunderbolt 4, one USB-A 3.2, HDMI 2.0, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. A four-speaker system handles the audio.
Lenovo is also prepping matching accessories, including the mouse that carries a similar LED light strip (its specific AI features still aren’t clear), Lenovo E310 true wireless earbuds, and a 540 Convertible Tote backpack that may end up in some bundles. On the software side, Googlebook mixes elements of Android and ChromeOS with Gemini Intelligence right at the center, aiming for tighter continuity between your phone and laptop.
