Samsung has officially entered the clip-on wireless earbud segment with a new design aimed at users who prefer an open listening experience. The Galaxy Buds On sit around the ear instead of sealing the ear canal, allowing users to remain more aware of their surroundings. Samsung has also added several features aimed at comfort, calls and hands-free use.
Samsung Galaxy Buds On specifications and features

The Galaxy Buds On use an ergonomic clip-on construction designed to distribute pressure across the ear and remain secure during movement. Samsung says it studied different ear shapes and adjusted the placement of the speakers, batteries and flexible band accordingly. Touch controls on the rear of the earbuds allow users to manage music playback and calls without reaching for their phones.
Audio is handled by TwinBoost speakers designed to improve low-frequency output, while automatic volume adjustment adapts playback to the surrounding environment. Samsung has also added an Audio Leakage Reduction system to limit sound escaping from the open-ear design. The earbuds are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform paired with a Class-D amplifier and offer up to 9.5 hours of music playback on a single charge.

For calls, the Galaxy Buds On feature three microphones, a bone-conduction-based Voice Pickup Sensor and machine learning to distinguish the wearer’s voice from background noise. Galaxy AI integration adds Gemini Live access through voice commands, while users can create voice memos with a long press and later search them using Bixby. Head gestures can also be used for actions such as answering or ending calls, dismissing alarms and checking notifications.
Price and availability
The Galaxy Buds On will launch in South Korea on October 27 for KRW 299,000, which is approximately $220. Samsung plans to bring the earbuds to other markets in phases, although it has not yet announced specific launch dates for other countries. The earbuds will initially be offered in Black.
