Timex has introduced two new Deepwater Arctic 200 dive watches in the US, priced at $259 and $269. Both models use battery-powered quartz movements and come equipped with sapphire crystals and ceramic bezel inserts, giving buyers some premium materials without pushing the price beyond $300.

Timex Deepwater Arctic 200 Specifications
The watches share the same core dimensions. The stainless steel case measures 40.5mm in diameter, 11.5mm thick, and 47mm from lug to lug. These are moderate proportions that generally fit a wide variety of wrists. Timex is offering two distinct color options for this release.

The $259 model features a standard silver-tone brushed and polished case, a blue gradient dial, and a matching blue strap. The $269 model swaps that out for a gunmetal case finish, a black gradient dial, and a black strap.
Both versions feature a unidirectional ratcheting bezel with a ceramic inlay. Ceramic is a standard upgrade in modern watches because it resists scratches and fading much better than traditional aluminum inserts.
Similarly, the dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, which is significantly harder to scratch than standard mineral glass. The dial itself has a straightforward layout, using partial Arabic numerals at the quarter hours and Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices for visibility in the dark.

For water resistance, the Deepwater Arctic 200 is rated to 200 meters, utilizing a screw-down crown and a screw-on case back to seal the watch. It comes on a 20mm HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) strap.
HNBR is a synthetic rubber chosen because it degrades less over time from UV and chemical exposure compared to basic silicone. The strap also includes quick-release spring bars, meaning you can change it without using a spring bar tool.

Internally, the watch is very basic, running on a standard quartz analog movement powered by an SR626SW battery. Both models are available to purchase now directly through the Timex US website.
In related news, Timex has recently launched the Heritage 66 as a modern revival of its 1966 Skin Diver, while also introducing a new vintage-style analog watch in India with steel and leather strap options.
