Baseus has released a new pair of wireless earbuds in China, the MC2 NC, which combine an open-ear clip-on design with active noise cancellation. They are currently available for 783 yuan ($116). The new model follows the non-NC version of the MC2, which debuted in China earlier this year in April before launching globally in August.
Baseus MC2 NC Earbuds Specifications
Instead of sitting inside your ear canal, the MC2 NC uses a C-shaped bridge that attaches to the side of your ear. To keep you comfortable, Baseus uses a four-point support structure and a hollowed-out internal frame, keeping the weight of each earbud down to just 5.9 grams.
You also get removable and washable silicone cushions that rest against your ear, with four different sizes included in the box to help you find the right fit. The hardware gives you an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and you can choose between two colors: Interstellar Black and Star Moon Beige.
Inside, your audio is powered by 12mm carbon-fiber dynamic drivers. You get support for the LDAC codec, along with Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. For equalization, Baseus has integrated Mimi’s hearing technology, which tests your hearing sensitivity across different frequencies to create a custom sound profile tailored to you.
Active noise cancellation is unusual for clip-on earbuds since they don’t physically seal your ear canal, but Baseus claims you can achieve up to -50dB of noise reduction. This works by combining the physical blocking of the silicone cushions with an adaptive ANC system that adjusts to your ear shape and your ambient environment. When you’re on phone calls, a six-microphone array blocks out wind noise, while directional audio technology prevents your music from leaking out to people sitting nearby.
You will also find several software features powered by AI models from DeepSeek, Alibaba (Qwen), and Doubao. Through the Baseus companion app, you can access tools like voice recording transcription, a real-time assistant, and face-to-face translation that supports 21 languages.
The earbuds connect using Bluetooth 6.0 and support multipoint pairing, allowing you to connect to two devices at once. Baseus opted for physical buttons rather than touch controls, which helps you avoid accidental inputs when adjusting the earbuds on your ear.
For battery life, you can expect up to 60 hours of total playback with the USB-C charging case when ANC is disabled, and up to 42 hours with ANC turned on. If you are in a rush, a 10-minute charge gives you roughly three hours of playback.
