XElectron has introduced a new digital photo frame to the Indian market, and its primary distinguishing feature is its physical footprint. The new XElectron Large Digital Photo Frame features a 15.6-inch display, offering a significantly larger viewing area than the standard 8-inch or 10-inch smart frames typically found in this product category.
XElectron Digital Photo Frame Specs
The device is built around a 1920 x 1080 Full HD IPS touchscreen with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. To help the device blend into a living room or office environment rather than looking like a repurposed tablet or computer monitor, XElectron has opted for wooden-look bezels. This design choice is a straightforward attempt to mimic the aesthetic of a traditional picture frame.
Functionally, the frame operates via a Wi-Fi connection and integrates with the third-party Frameo app, which is available on both iOS and Android. This integration allows users to send photos and short videos directly to the frame from a smartphone, regardless of their physical location.
It is a practical feature for users who want to update the photo rotation on a device located in a relative’s home without needing physical access to the hardware. The touchscreen interface handles the initial setup process and slideshow management.
For media storage, the frame includes 32GB of internal memory, which the manufacturer states can hold tens of thousands of compressed images. While app-based wireless transfers are the primary focus, the device also supports local media management. The frame includes an SD card slot, as well as USB Type-A and Type-C ports.
Pricing and Availability
The 15.6-inch digital photo frame is currently available on Amazon India and the company’s official website. The device is currently selling at a festive promotional price of ₹10,990. The standard regular price is listed at ₹11,990.
