ZTE has launched the Xuntian BE3600 Qingyun Edition, a new Wi-Fi 7 router currently available on JD.com in China. The device is priced at an introductory rate of 199 yuan (about $30) and will eventually retail for 249 yuan (around $37).

ZTE Xuntian BE3600 Qingyun Edition Specs
The router is the first in ZTE’s Xuntian lineup to use a vertical orientation. Its exterior is textured with a wave pattern meant to resemble traditional Chinese bamboo slips. ZTE opted for an ink-free manufacturing process for the chassis, using engraved markings instead of printed labels to reduce environmental impact.
Inside, the BE3600 runs on ZTE’s fourth-generation chipset. The processor uses a six-core architecture that pairs a dual-core CPU with a quad-core NPU. Instead of integrating the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi into the main processor, ZTE included a separate Wi-Fi chip to handle wireless data processing.

The router supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard across 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, with ZTE stating a combined theoretical speed of up to 3.57Gbps. It also supports 4K QAM modulation and Multi-Link Operation (MLO). MLO allows compatible devices to connect to multiple frequency bands simultaneously to maintain a steadier connection.
For wired connections, the device has three 1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports. It supports dual WAN configurations, which lets users plug in two separate broadband lines at the same time. This can be used for load balancing to manage network traffic or as a failover connection if one line goes down. It also supports IPTV single-cable multiplexing, meaning internet and television signals can share one Ethernet cable.

The router supports network management through the ZTE Smart Life app, which features an AI-powered visual planning tool. It allows users to generate a floor plan, check Wi-Fi coverage throughout their homes, and find the best location for the router. It also comes with parental controls that let users schedule internet access and remotely disconnect specific devices from the network.
For larger spaces, the BE3600 supports mesh networking with compatible ZTE models and can function as an access point with third-party routers. ZTE says the hardware went through 40,000 hours of stability testing and 100,000 flash memory read/write cycles before launch. The router supports both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
In related news, ZTE has recently launched the G5 Max 5G CPE with Wi-Fi 7, Snapdragon X75, and an IP65-rated outdoor design, alongside a new 5G mobile router with Wi-Fi 7 and dual 2.5G Ethernet ports.
