Lenovo K5 2018 vs Oppo A1

After more than a year of hiatus, Lenovo recently announced the K5 2018 Android 4G smartphone along with the main flagship S5 model and the K5 Play. The Oppo A1 was also unveiled to the public earlier this month.

The K5 2018 smartphone sports a glass and metal body design coupled with an engaging IPS, HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) display. The phone’s dimensions are 72.7 mm x 153.8 mm x 7.8 mm (LxWxH) and it weighs in at 160 grams (with battery).

There’s a 13MP+5MP dual-camera setup at the back and an 8MP camera placed on the front. Moreover, there’s a finger scanner located at the back of the K5 2018 smartphone. You can choose from 3 color options including blue, black and gray.

Housed in a metal body, the Oppo A1 smartphone features an eye-catching AMOLED FHD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) display. It comes with Gorilla Glass for added protection.

The A1’s dimensions are 73.1 mm x 150.5 mm x 7.7 mm (LxWxH) and the phone’s weight is 143 grams (with battery). There’s a 13-megapixel camera placed on the back of the phone and an 8-megapixel selfie camera in the front.

There’s no finger scanner. The Oppo A1 smartphone is available in white, red, and blue color versions.

The K5 2018 is powered by a MediaTek MT6750V, 64-bit processor. Moreover, it employs an ARM Mali-T860 MP2, 2-Cores GPU.

The Lenovo-branded smartphone offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard memory that you can expand up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone is backed by a non-removable 3,000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery.

It comes with 3 card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. In addition to that, the device features all sorts of sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, ambient light, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, and heart rate.

The Oppo A1 smartphone packs a powerful MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763T, 64-bit processor along with an ARM Mali G71 MP2 770MHz, 2-Cores graphics processing unit, under the hood. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal memory (up to 128GB).

The dual-SIM (nano+nano) smartphone draws its juices from a built-in 3,180 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. It has 3 card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC and several sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light, and compass.

The Lenovo K5 2018 comes bearing an affordable price tag that starts from about $100. Oppo is expected to start selling the A1 for CNY 1399 (about $222) in China on April 1.
