LG K8 (2018) vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2

LG unveiled the K8 (2018) smartphone at the recently concluded MWC (Mobile World Congress) that took place in Barcelona. The company is reportedly gearing up to debut the handset in Russia under the LG K9 moniker.

Samsung took the wraps off its Galaxy J7 Prime 2 smartphone on March 27. The Galaxy-branded smartphone is likely to hit the store shelves next month.

The LG K8 (2018) smartphone sports a plastic body with rounded edges. It also features an alluring IPS, LCD, HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. The phone’s dimensions are 5.76 in x 2.88 in x 0.32 in (LxWxH) and it weighs in at 152 grams (with battery).

On the back, you can find a LED and AF-equipped 8MP camera while there’s a 5MP camera with LED placed in the front. The K8 (2018) is up for grabs in 3 awe-inspiring color options including Moroccan blue, Aurora black, and Terra gold.

In terms of design, the Galaxy J7 Prime 2 smartphone features a 2.5D curved glass screen with rounded edges. It boasts an FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display.

Moreover, it is housed in a full metal body. The phone’s dimensions are 151.7 mm x 75 mm x 8 mm (LxWxH) and its weight is 170 grams (with battery).

The device houses a 13MP camera with AF and LED Flash at the back and a 13MP camera on the front. The South Korean handset maker is likely to offer 3 color choices including gold, black and rose-gold for the Galaxy J7 Prime 2 smartphone when it hits the store shelves.

The K8 (2018) is powered by a MediaTek, 64-bit processor and it uses an ARM Mali GPU. As far as the phone’s memory is concerned, there 2GB of RAM, which is paired with 16GB of expandable internal storage (up to 32GB).

LG’s impending smartphone is likely to draw its juices from a built-in 2,500 mAh Lithium-Ion battery. It will either feature a single Nano SIM or dual-SIM slots (Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM) with dual standby.

There are 3 card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. The phone will offer multiple sensors such as an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Galaxy J7 Prime 2 packs a powerful Exynos 7 Octa 7870 processor along with an ARM Mali-T830 MP2, 2-Cores GPU, under the hood. The phone offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage that can further be expanded up to 256GB.

The dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) smartphone is backed by a built-in 3,300 mAh Lithium-Ion battery and it has different card slots such as microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. It comes with a proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light, fingerprint, and hall.
