The bigger variant of the Oppo R15 smartphone dubbed, the Oppo R15 Plus is expected to hit the store shelves on April 04, 2018. The Vivo Y79 Android 4G smartphone, on the other hand, was launched on October 17, last year.
The rumor mill has been churning all sorts of speculations regarding the hotly-anticipated R15 Plus smartphone. There’s hearsay that the phone’s dimensions will be 6.11 in x 2.96 in x 0.30 in and it will weigh in at 175 grams (with battery).
The R15 Plus will be housed in a glass and aluminum mix body and will be up for grabs in three color options including black, white and red. Moreover, the dual-SIM smartphone will sport a 6.28-inches AMOLED, FHD+ display.
Housed in a plastic and metal body, the Vivo Y79 smartphone sports a slightly smaller 5.99 inches IPS, LCD, HD+ display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection.
It features bezel-less sides with full view display. Aside from that, it has a 2.5D curved display, which is scratch resistant.
The Vivo Y79 smartphone’s dimensions are 6.14 in x 2.98 in x 0.30 in and it weighs in at 160 grams (with battery). It is 75.7 mm broad, 7.7 mm thick and 155.9 mm long. You can choose from champagne, black, and rose-gold color versions of the smartphone.
The Oppo R15 Plus smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SDM660, 64-bit processor and it uses a Qualcomm Adreno 512 GPU (graphics processing unit). Furthermore, the device offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory that can further be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The phone draws its juices from a 3,400 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery that offers about 322 hours of standby time, up to 10.3 hours of talk time, and a charging duration of up to 1.8 hours. This battery is not removable.
It features multiple card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. The phone is also crammed with a slew of useful sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, ambient light, gyroscope, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo Y79 smartphone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953, 64-bit processor along with an Adreno 506 graphics processing unit, under the hood. The device offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable memory (up to 256GB via MicroSD).
Moreover, the phone is backed a 3,225mAh Lithium-Polymer battery that offers up to 280 hours of standby time, up to 11 hours of talk time with a charging duration of up to 2.5 hours. This is a built-in battery.
In terms of card slots, the Y79 features a MicroSD card slot. Furthermore, it comes with all sorts of sensors such as a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gyroscope.
The long-rumored Oppo R15 Plus smartphone will come bearing a price tag of about $496 if earlier reports prove to be true. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y79 smartphone is currently up for grabs in shopping stores for about $383.
