With the Oppo R15’s rumored launch date just around the corner, the rumor mill is running full speed. The long-awaited smartphone is expected to hit the store shelves next month. Likewise, the yet-to-be-announced Oppo F7 smartphone has been floating around the rumor mill for quite some time now.
With the rumor mill spinning like an overzealous hamster’s wheel, it’s time to check out a brief comparison between the two Oppo-branded impending smartphones. It’s also worth noting that these are merely rumored shreds of information.
The R15 smartphone is highly likely to sport a metal body design with dimensions of 75.2 mm x 155.1 mm x 7.4 mm. Moreover, the phone is expected to weigh in at 175 grams (with battery).
Earlier reports suggest Oppo will launch the R15 smartphone in white, red, and purple color options. The phone will sport a 16 megapixels + 5 megapixels dual camera setup at the back and a 20-megapixel front-mounted selfie camera. There will be a fingerprint sensor placed at the back.
Details about the Oppo F7 smartphone are quite hard to come by; however, earlier reports suggest it will sport a 6.28-inches IPS, FHD+ display along with an aluminum alloy body design. It is expected to come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection.
The F7 will be available in gold, red and black color versions. Aside from that, the phone will also feature a fingerprint scanner.
On the back, the Oppo F7 will have a 16-megapixel+16-megapixel dual camera setup with dual-LED and AF. In the front, the phone will sport a massive 25-megapixel camera for selfies.
The R15 is expected to pack a MediaTek Helio P60 MT6771, 64-bit processor along with an ARM Mali G72 MP3 800MHz GPU, under the hood. The phone will offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB ROM, which can be expanded up to 256GB.
It will be backed by a non-removable 3,450 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. The upcoming smartphone will include multiple card slots such as microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. Moreover, it will feature a slew of sensors including a proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light, compass, gyroscope, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
According to latest reports, the Oppo F7 smartphone will be powered by MediaTek, 64-bit processor and it will use a PowerVR graphics processing unit. The phone will offer 6GB/8GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of onboard memory (with support up to 256GB external memory via dedicated slot).
The F7 will draw its juices from a 3,350 mAh Lithium-ion battery. The handset will offer microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC card slots. Aside from that, it will boast a slew of useful sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, light sensor, fingerprint, compass, and gyroscope.
There’s still no detail regarding the price tag the Oppo R15 smartphone is expected to come bearing. However, if earlier reports are anything to go by, the Oppo F7 Android 4G smartphone will sell for about $489.
