The OnePlus 6T was made available to the public on October 30th last year. Samsung’s long-rumored Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone, on the other hand, is slated to hit the store shelves later this month.
Let us compare the two smartphones based on their appearance, design, hardware, and performance.
The Galaxy S10 Lite is part of the Galaxy S-Series that has been floating around the rumor mill and making several appearances online in the form of leaks for quite a long time.
The Galaxy S10 Lite will sport a glossy design and feature a 5.8-inches Super AMOLED, QHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2960 x 1440 and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
Moreover, the always-on screen is scratch resistant and has Gorilla Glass 6 on top for added protection.
On the back, there’s a 12MP + 12MP (telephoto) dual camera module with dual-LED flash and AF. Up front, there’s an 8.0MP front shooter with an f/1.7 aperture for that flawless selfie every time.
The phone comes in four color versions including black, blue, green and white. Details about the phone’s dimensions and weight are still scarce.
The well-received OnePlus 6 successor dubbed, the 6T sports a mammoth 6.41 inches Optic AMOLED 16M FHD+ display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The phone features Gorilla Glass 5 to provide protection to this screen.
The OnePlus 6T is housed in an aluminum alloy and glass frame which complements the phone’s full-screen display.
On the photography front, the OnePlus 6T houses a 16.0MP+20.0MP dual camera setup with dual-LED Flash and AF on the back.
There’s a 16.0MP front shooter for selfies and video chatting on the phone.
With dimensions of 74.59 mm x 157.6 mm x 7.9 mm, the phone is currently up for grabs in the black color version. The phone’s weight is just 183g even with the battery.
The Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to pack Exynos 9820 Octa or Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855, 64-bit processor, coupled either with the Mali-G76 MP12 or an Adreno 640 GPU.
The device will ship with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and could offer 128GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.
Samsung is likely to add a non-removable 3,000 mAh Lithium-ion battery that supports wireless charging and fast charging in the Galaxy S10 Lite.
There will three card slots on the phone including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC.
There are no prizes for guessing that the S10 Lite could run One UI based on Android 9.0 Pie.
The phone is also likely to feature various sensors including proximity, light, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, fingerprint, barometer, heart rate and SpO2.
The OnePlus 6T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 64-bit processor and it has Qualcomm Adreno 630 graphics processing unit for a superior video watching and casual gaming experience.
The phone comes in 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB and 256GB onboard storage capacity options. Regrettably, the phone doesn’t support memory expansion.
While there are no card slots available on the 6T, there are various useful sensors like proximity, light, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, fingerprint, hall, step detector, step counter, and an In-display fingerprint sensor.
The OnePlus 6T is backed by a built-in 3,700 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery that supports Dash Charge (5V 4A). This non-removable cell offers about 340 hours of standby time and nearly 18 hours of talk time.
Samsung is still mum about the price tag the Galaxy S10 Lite will carry, but there’s hearsay it will retail for about $852.
The 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM variant of the OnePlus 6T will set you back about $531, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM model retails for about $685.
