The Smartisan Nut 3 smartphone was made available to the public in March this year. The following month, ZTE unveiled its long-awaited Red Devil smartphone, under its popular Nubia sub-brand.
Here’s a brief comparison between the two recently-launched smartphones on the basis of their design, hardware, and price.
Appearance & Design
Housed in a robust metal body, the Nut 3 smartphone sports an eye-catching IPS, LCD, FHD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It houses a 13MP+13MP dual camera with dual-LED and AF on the back. Up front, there’s an 8MP front shooter with face recognition.
In terms of dimensions, the phone’s length is 6.06 inches, its width is 2.93 inches and its height is 0.28 inches. The Smartisan Nut 3 weighs in at 154 grams (with battery) and is currently up for grabs in black, red, and gold color versions.
The ZTE Nubia Red Devil Android boasts an aluminum alloy body with a sandblasted finish that makes it a premium smartphone. The device features a JDI IPS FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) full-screen display and comes with Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection.
It features an RGB light panel along with a dual-LED flash and AF-equipped 24MP camera on the back. Apart from that, there’s a fingerprint sensor placed on the back. There’s an 8MP front shooter for selfies.
The phone’s dimensions are 6.22 in x 2.95 in x 0.37 in (LxWxH) and its weight with battery is 185 grams. You can choose from two color options including black, and red.
Hardware & Performance
The Smartisan Nut 3 smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953, 64-bit processor and it uses a Qualcomm Adreno 506, 650MHz GPU to deliver an exceptional viewing experience. It offers 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB expandable ROM (up to 256GB).
The dual hybrid SIM (nano-SIM + nano-SIM/microSD) smartphone runs Smartisan OS 4.x based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system and is backed by a 4,000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. The non-removable cell delivers up to 378 hours of standby time and up to 18.5 hours of talk time.
The Nut 3 smartphone comes with three card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. On top of that, it features a broad range of useful sensors i.e. a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, light sensor, proximity, and an ultrasonic sensor.
The Nubia Red Devil smartphone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 64-bit processor along with a Qualcomm Adreno 540, 710 MHz GPU, under the hood. It has 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of non-expandable onboard memory.
The dual-SIM smartphone (nano-SIM + nano-SIM) smartphone offers dual standby. The Red Devil smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Nubia Red Magic UI and it draws its juices from a built-in 3,800 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery which delivers up to 320 hours of standby time and up to 18 hours of talk time.
The phone doesn’t feature card slots. However, it is crammed with all sorts of sensors including a gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass, fingerprint (rear mounted), and accelerometer.
