Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to unveil its long-awaited Mi 7 Android 4G smartphone on April 22, 2018. If recently surfaced reports turn out to be true, the phone will reap skyrocketing popularity among smartphone lovers.
The 7 Plus smartphone swept Nokia enthusiasts off their feet after hitting the store shelves earlier this month. The Nokia 7 Plus boasts an array of jaw-dropping specs and features that propelled it to huge popularity.
While details about the upcoming Mi 7 smartphone are quite hard to come by, there’s hearsay that the phone will sport a stainless steel and glass alloy mix body. Moreover, it will be up for grabs in a slew of color options including blue, white, black and ceramic black.
With a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SDM845, 64-bit processor under the hood, the Mi 7 is likely to give other smartphones in the same price range a good run for their money. It is even rumored to pack an equally robust Octa-Core (4 x 2.8GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4 x 1.8GHz Kryo 385 Silver) GPU.
The Mi 7 will offer 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of onboard storage. If previously surfaced reports are anything to go by, the phone will not support external memory.
It is backed by a non-removable 4,480 mAh lithium-polymer battery. Furthermore, the Mi 7 will feature an accelerometer, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, compass, gyroscope and a slew of other sensors.
The Nokia 7 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 MSM8956 Plus, 64-bit processor and it comes with a Qualcomm Adreno 512 GPU. The phone offers 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/64GB of onboard storage which can further be expanded up to 256GB using SIM 2 slot.
The phone offers multiple card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. Moreover, it will come with a proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, ambient light, gyroscope and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 smartphone is expected to carry a price tag of about $440. The Nokia 7 Plus, on the other hand, sells approximately for $479.
