Xiaomi made its long-awaited Redmi 6A on June 13th, 2018. The Chinese tech giant, Vivo also launched its equally-anticipated NEX smartphone on June 14th this year. Here’s a brief comparison between the two recently launched smartphones on the basis of their design, hardware, and price.
Appearance & Design
The eye-catching Redmi 6A smartphone is housed in a metal body which is further augmented with an equally appealing 5.45-inches IPS HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) display. Weighing in at just 145 grams with battery, the phone has dimensions of 71.5 mm x 147.5 mm x 8.3 mm.
The phone houses a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera with dual-LED Flash and AF. Up front, there’s a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and face-to-face video chatting. You can choose between 3 color options including gold, rose-gold, and gray.
The Vivo NEX sports an aluminum alloy and polycarbonate body design, coupled with a borderless design. The phone features a 6.59 inches Super AMOLED FHD+ (1080 x 2316 pixels) display.
The device sports a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera with dual-LED and AF setup on the back. There’s an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfie addicts. The Vivo NEX weighs in at 199 grams and its dimensions are 77.0 mm x 162.0 mm x 8.0 mm. The phone is currently up for grabs in red and blue color versions.
Hardware & Performance
The Redmi 6A is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22, 64-bit processor and it offers 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with 16GB of expandable onboard memory (up to 256GB). The hybrid dual-SIM smartphone comes with dual standby.
The handset boasts a broad range of card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC. The Redmi 6A also has a slew of highly advantageous sensors such as a proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light, and compass.
The Vivo NEX smartphone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, 64-Bit Processor along with an equally robust Qualcomm Adreno 616 GPU, under the hood. The phone comes with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of non-expandable onboard storage.
On the downside, the NEX smartphone doesn’t feature any card slots. The device, however, is crammed with all sorts of sensors including a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, and light.
Price
