Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro vs LG G7

Xiaomi took the wraps off its long-awaited Redmi Note 5 Pro Android 4G smartphone on February 14, 2018, and it is currently available in shopping stores. The long-awaited LG G7 smartphone, on the other hand, is slated to hit the store shelves on March 26, 2018.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone sports an FHD+ display and an eye-catching aluminum alloy body design. The phone’s dimensions are 75.5 mm x 158.5 mm x 8.0 mm and it weighs in at 181 grams (with battery). The device is currently up for grabs in gray, gold, black, blue, and rose-gold color options.

Housed in an aluminum alloy body, the G7 sports a QHD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection. LG has kept design-related details such as dimensions and weight under wraps. However, there’s hearsay that the upcoming handset will be water resistant and carry an IP68 certification.

The G7 will be MIL-STD-810G compliant as well. The phone will be available in white, black, blue and gold color options.

Powered by a robust Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 64-bit processor, Redmi Note 5 Pro is a well-received smartphone. It packs a Qualcomm Adreno 509 graphics processing unit along with 4GB/6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB/64GB of onboard storage, which can further be expanded up to up to 128GB using the SIM 2 Slot.

Moreover, the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone comes with microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC card slots. It boasts an array of significant sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, light sensor, rear-mounted fingerprint, compass, gyroscope, and hall.

The LG G7 is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SDM845, 64-bit processor along with an Adreno 630 GPU, under the hood. It is likely to offer 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of expandable memory (up to 400GB via SIM 2 Slot).

If rumors doing rounds online are anything to go by, the G7 will come with microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC card slots. It will also feature a slew of useful sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, ambient light, gyroscope, fingerprint ID (rear mounted), and barometer.

While the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone sells approximately for $290 in shopping stores, the LG G7 is expected to come bearing a relatively steeper price tag of about $503.
