OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 15T on March 24 in China, but ahead of its debut, most details have already surfaced online. A premature listing on China Telecom has revealed the phone’s core specifications, design elements, and hardware configuration, offering a clear picture of what to expect from this compact flagship.

The listing shows that the OnePlus 15T will feature a 6.32-inch LTPS OLED flat display with a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels. The company has already confirmed support for a 165Hz refresh rate, along with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device runs on Android 16 and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is mentioned as the SM8850 in the China Telecom listing.

It will be available in multiple LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage options, including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The phone packs a 7,500mAh battery, and OnePlus has already confirmed support for 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and bypass charging to help manage heat during extended usage.

For photography, the OnePlus 15T includes a 16-megapixel front camera. On the rear, it features a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. DCS says future phones could feature a top configuration of just 8GB of RAM paired with 512GB of storage, along with 90Hz waterdrop-notch displays, support for SIM plus microSD cards, and even plastic frames paired with short-focus (optical) fingerprint sensors.

As you might expect, none of this sounds particularly exciting for 2026. In fact, much of the industry has been moving in the opposite direction. Toward higher refresh rates, punch-hole or under-display cameras, metal or glass builds, and the gradual disappearance of expandable storage.

The return of these more conventional features could be tied to rising component costs, particularly for memory and storage. Several Chinese brands like OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, and iQOO have already nudged prices upward for their budget devices. Meanwhile, Samsung has also increased smartphone prices in markets like India.

And while prices are rising, consumers’ willingness — or ability — to spend more on phones might not be increasing at the same pace. As a result, manufacturers could be looking for ways to keep retail prices in check, even if that means leaning on older hardware and design choices.

What makes this leak interesting isn’t any single feature. It’s the combination. A return to waterdrop notches, expandable storage, and plastic builds suggests manufacturers may be re-evaluating what they can realistically deliver as smartphone prices continue to climb globally.

These decisions help reduce costs, but they also bring back some practical perks, like storage flexibility, that many users still appreciate.

OnePlus Watch 4 specs leak paints a somewhat disappointing picture

The OnePlus Watch 4 has started appearing in leaks and certification listings, which usually means a launch isn’t too far off. But going by what’s surfaced so far, this might be one of those updates that focuses more on refinement than anything dramatic.

The latest bit of info comes from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, who spotted the watch on the EMVCo database. That certification mainly relates to contactless payments, and devices tend to show up there fairly close to launch. What’s a little interesting is that there are two model numbers listed: XL905 and XL907. It’s not clear what the difference is yet, but it could point to multiple variants, maybe different sizes or a slightly tweaked version.

As for the hardware, things look… familiar. The Watch 4 is expected to stick with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 from last year’s Watch 3. The chip itself dates back to 2022 and has since been succeeded by the newer W5 Gen 2 series, announced in August 2025.

The display also doesn’t seem to change—a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 466 × 466 resolution, which is basically what we’ve already seen before. There is mention of a slightly larger 47mm case, though, so the overall feel on the wrist might be a bit different.

Battery capacity is said to be 646mAh, which again sounds very similar to the current model. So expectations here should probably be in line with what OnePlus already delivers. One area that does stand out a bit more is durability. The watch is tipped to come with an IP69 rating, which, if accurate, would make it more resistant to harsher conditions than before.

There’s also some mixed info around the software. One leak mentions Wear OS 5, while the certification listing points to Wear OS 6, which seems more likely at this point.

Put together, the Watch 4 looks like a careful update. Not underwhelming, but not trying too hard to surprise either.

Sony is bringing AI frame generation to PlayStation

Vivo X300 Ultra appears in live images, specs tag along

Vivo showed off the first images of the X300 Ultra earlier this week in an official teaser, revealing the phone in a new “Film Green” color. Now the device has surfaced in real-life photos in a beige shade, showing it from nearly every angle.

As you can see, the X300 Ultra features a massive camera module on the back with Zeiss branding. It’s particularly noticeable in the side-angle shot (the second image), which also shows the power and volume buttons. This beige variant also appears to have patterns on the rear panel.

The frame looks to be made of metal, while the bottom houses the usual hardware: microphones, a USB-C port, a speaker grille, and a SIM tray.

More interestingly, one of the leaked photos shows the settings page with key specs for the X300 Ultra. According to the image, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It also includes Vivo’s in-house VS1 and V3+ dual imaging chips.

The device also packs a 6,600mAh battery.

What can you expect?

As you know by now, the X300 Ultra is all about the camera. Its rear setup is said to include a 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 main lens with a 1/1.12-inch sensor and 35mm focal length, along with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB periscope telephoto camera at 85mm with Zeiss APO certification

A 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 ultra-wide lens and a multispectral sensor complete the system.  For selfies, you are likely to get a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. 

A previous leak also suggests that the Vivo X300 Ultra could arrive in four configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. The top-end model is also tipped to support satellite communication.

boAt has launched the Valour Watch 1R under its Valour sub-brand. The smartwatch comes with a standard watch design and features an aluminium body with a matte finish.

The device is powered by an X2 processor and includes an AI-based health monitoring system. It also features an AI Coach that can detect activities automatically and provide insights based on usage.

boAt Valour Watch 1R

Health tracking features include heart rate variability tracking, VO₂ Max measurement, automatic heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, stress level tracking, and sleep tracking with analysis. It also provides recovery insights based on activity and rest data.

For fitness, the watch supports over 700 sports and activity modes. This covers a wide range of workouts and physical activities. Other features include access to more than 100 cloud watch faces, turn-by-turn navigation, and custom reminders for daily tasks. The Valour Watch 1R is claimed to offer up to 10 days of battery life on a single charge, depending on usage.

HyperOS 3 update now rolls out to Xiaomi 13T Pro and Poco F5

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 update

Xiaomi has begun rolling out the HyperOS 3 update to Xiaomi 13T Pro and Poco F5 users globally. For the Xiaomi 13T Pro, the rollout isn’t new. It originally went live around one and a half months back, but pulled back later due to a critical problem that caused random reboots and bootloops.

HyperOS 3 rolls out (again) for Xiaomi 13T Pro

The new HyperOS 3 build for the Xiaomi 13T Pro should be free from critical bugs, given that Xiaomi has spent a lot of time resolving the problems. Besides HyperOS 3 and Android 16 goodies, the latest build includes the February 2026 security patch, not the latest one.

Here are the firmware versions for the revised HyperOS 3 update for the Xiaomi 13T Pro, as spotted by Xiaomi Time:

  • Xiaomi 13T Pro (Global): OS3.0.1.0.WMLMIXM
  • Xiaomi 13T Pro (Turkey): OS3.0.1.0.WMLTRXM
  • Xiaomi 13T Pro (Taiwan): OS3.0.1.0.WMLTWXM
  • Xiaomi 13T Pro (Russia): OS3.0.1.0.WMLRUXM

Poco F5 also joins HyperOS 3 party

Poco F5 has also started picking up the stable HyperOS 3 update. However, this one is based on Android 15, unlike the Xiaomi 13T Pro, which is getting an Android 16 build. That’s because the Poco F5 has already received two Android OS updates, and therefore isn’t eligible for Android 16.

The HyperOS 3 update for the Poco F5 is rolling out globally with the firmware version OS3.0.3.0.VMRMIXM. The update also brings the February 2026 security patch, which fixes dozens of vulnerabilities to make the device safer.

Before you can test HyperOS 3 features on your Poco phone, you’ll need to download an update package weighing around 2GB. It’s best to use a stable Wi-Fi connection to download such hefty update packages. Also, remember to charge your device at least 40% and back up important data before hitting the install button.
