The Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max was officially released on November 25, 2025.
This phone is built like a tank with a glass front and a sturdy aluminum alloy frame. It comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it can handle dust, strong water jets and even survive being submerged up to six meters for half an hour. The device is big and premium, weighing 239 grams with a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display.
It supports 1 billion colors, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR Vivid and an impressive peak brightness of 8000 nits. Huawei’s Kunlun Glass 2 adds extra protection. It runs on HarmonyOS 6.0 and uses the Kirin 9030 Pro chip with a nine-core CPU and Maleoon 935 GPU. You get 16GB RAM and 512GB storage with no card slot.
The rear camera system is powerful: a 50MP variable-aperture main lens, two periscope telephoto lenses offering 4x and 6.2x optical zoom, and a 40MP ultrawide. It shoots 4K video with OIS, EIS and HDR Vivid. The front has a 13MP ultrawide selfie camera with a TOF 3D sensor and 4K video support.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, infrared and advanced GPS with NavIC. Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max packs a 6000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging and both wired and wireless reverse charging options.
