Redmi Note 5A Release

Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 5A on 21 August 2017, its premium model ‘Redmi Note 5A (S)‘ was announced during the same event. On September 15 2017, two variants were officially released for sale.

Device Characteristics

The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM & 16GB internal storage, it’s premium model comes in either 3GB & 32GB or 4GB & 64GB variants. The device is powered by Snapdragon 425 processor.

The device will feature a 5.5 inch, 720p, display. As Xiaomi’s standard, the capacitive (menu, home and recent) buttons are found at the bottom of the device.

The device lacks a fingerprint sensor unlike its premium counterpart.

Target Market

The Redmi Note 5A is targeted at the entry-level smartphone market for users that require a large display with a hint of premium build quality.
