The upcoming AMD Zen 3 Ryzen CPUs refresh based on the stacked chiplet design with V-Cache are rumored to start mass production sometime next month while the Ryzen processors with B2 stepping are expected to start shipping and launch by the end of this year.

Previously, Team Red had officially confirmed that its new Zen 3 Ryzen chips based on Zen 3 architecture with 3D V-Cache will be arriving to the AM4 platform in the first quarter of next year. Now, tipster @Greymon55 has revealed that the 3D Vache based Zen 3 Ryzen chips will begin production next month, so we can expect to see these chips being unveiled during the CES 2022 event. Notably, this also implies that we can see these chips launching by February 2022.

In the latter half of next year, the chipmaking giant is also expected to launch its Zen 4 architecture based chipsets as well. Apart from the new Ryzen chips with 3D V-Cache, AMD is also reportedly planning on shipping its Zen 3 B2 stepping processors by the end of this year. So, a late December launch can be expected. Furthermore, a company official had also previously confirmed that the B2 stepping Ryzen chips do not feature any major architectural changes but offer a new stepping does imply better stability and clock output over the chips already available in the market.

Interestingly, the new Ryzen 3D-Vache and B2 stepping chips would also launch ahead of the 12th Generation of Intel CPUs. For those unaware, Team Blue’s Alder Lake processors are also set for a 2022 launch as well, but the exact date is still unknown. Although, its still too early to know how chips from both brands stack up against each other.

AMD may have delayed the plan of releasing the Ryzen 5000 series earlier slated for November 2021. There are rumors from a renowned leaker who claims that the release of AMD’s Zen3 Threadripper CPU for consumer desktops has been delayed out of 2021.

The leaked information mentions “Chagall” being delayed to next year which is nothing but a codename attached to AMD’s 5000 series Threadripper processors. Here’s the tweet that talks about it.

Some of Gigabyte‘s information was leaked when a ransomware gang hit the manufacturer. The leaks included information about future hardware, the highlight of which was the Threadripper 5990X SoC. And according to that, it is supposed to have 64 cores and 128 threads along with 256 MB of L3 cache, 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes, and 4-channel DDR-3200 memory. These cores are similar to the ones found on Threadripper 3990X and at the same time, don’t mention anything about 5000 series Threadrippers’ clock speeds.

We also got to learn about two Pro-model 5000 Threadrippers from AMD which were listed as a Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5995WX and a Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5945WX. The former was a 64-core, 128-thread processor, while the latter had 12 cores and 24 threads. These are workstation models and are likely to launch in 2022.
