The previous “android” wordmark will transform to a capitalized A and rounding of the n and r. This delivers a new wordmark complementary to the Google logo. The representation will also be simpler, going forward. The dessert codenames will be omitted for easier understanding globally. The dessert nicknames are still retained internally.

This week, thee @upleaks Twitter account released a 17-second animated video on the LG G Watch featuring what appears to be a completely new Android logo. The letters are smaller and looks gentler and friendlier compared to the original logo. Nobody knows whether it’s real or not or whether future Android products will use this logo. It would not be surprising if Google does change the Android logo since they purchased Motorolla.
