The Apple MacBook Pro M1 Max comes with a 16-inch display and has the new M1 Max chipset. The laptop has just passed the Geekbench certification and it reveals some impressive results.</p>
<p>According to the Geekbench certification, the Apple MacBook Pro M1 Max has scored 1749 single-core points and 11542 multi-core points. This result is quite impressive when compared to the older models. The major performance increase of the laptop is touted to be due to the M1 Max chipset.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-420504 " src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-M1-Max.jpg?x44794" alt="MacBook Pro M1 Max" width="601" height="580" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-M1-Max.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-M1-Max-300x289.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-M1-Max-768x741.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-M1-Max-696x672.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-M1-Max-435x420.jpg 435w" sizes="(max-width: 601px) 100vw, 601px" /></p>
<p>It is said that the M1 Max is way faster than the M1 chipset. In fact, the above score of the M1 Max is twice of the older M1 chipset. Speaking of the M1 Max, it supports 64GB of memory and up to 400GB/s bandwidth. The chipset is based on 5nm and it comes with 57 billion transistors.</p>
<p>The MacBook Pro M1 Max is priced at ₹2,39,900 in India. The laptop is available in all Apple authorised stores across India.</p>

But one particular spec that has seemingly slipped under the radar of most is the all-new 140W USB-C power adapter that ships with the 2021 Macs. And it actually is a game-changer.</p>
<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Apple">Apple</a> has opted for the gallium nitride solution to allow the adapter to be smaller than usual. Adoption of the tech is a big move for Apple indeed as other companies like <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">OPPO</a>, etc. have been releasing GaN chargers for a while now. But you see, that&#8217;s not the most significant bit. The limelight has instead been stolen by the USB-C Power Delivery 3.1 compliance, making the MacBook Pro the very first laptop to use the standard (via: <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/19/22734233/apple-140w-macbook-charging-brick-gan-usb-c-pd-3-1-third-party-chargers">The Verge</a>).</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-420333 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="apple macbook pro 140w charger" width="696" height="696" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-1068x1068.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger-420x420.jpg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/apple-macbook-pro-140w-charger.jpg 1144w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The standard is in fact so new that USB-C cables that are compliant with it haven&#8217;t even hit the market yet. In other words, not even a USB-C cable is available in the market right now that can carry 140W using the new standard.</p>
<p>Apple’s solution for this was to make a proprietary USB-C to Magsafe adapter for its 140W charger to fill up the MacBook Pros at the magical 140W speed. Once this standard becomes mainstream, the new 140W MacBook Pro charger will be able to charge all other devices that support this standard.</p>
<p>Apple is thus leading the industry when it comes to the new USB-C PD R3.1 standard. And judging from the past, it&#8217;s pretty clear that the rest of the industry will be jumping on to the USB-C PD R3.1 bandwagon as well. Previously, Apple’s adoption of USB-C in the MacBook in 2015 was quickly mimicked by other companies &#8211; like Google for their Chromebooks.</p>
<figure id="attachment_419924" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-419924" style="width: 696px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-419924" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1-1024x524.png?x44794" alt="MacBook Pro 2021" width="696" height="356" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1-1024x524.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1-300x154.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1-768x393.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1-696x356.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1-1068x547.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1-820x420.png 820w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/MacBook-Pro-2021-1.png 1459w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-419924" class="wp-caption-text">MacBook Pro 2021</figcaption></figure>
<p>However, things might be different this time around &#8211; it might not just be laptops adopting the new standard but several other electronics too. In conclusion, the new 140W charger isn&#8217;t endemic to the MacBook Pros and can be plugged into other USB-C using electronics as well, such as e-bikes, thus greatly improving its scope.</p>
