CHUWI has officially launched pre-orders for its new UniBook AI Laptop, introducing an affordable Windows notebook built around Intel’s latest Wildcat Lake platform. The laptop combines a lightweight design, AI-focused hardware, a color-accurate display, and a generous selection of ports, making it suitable for students, professionals, freelancers, and everyday users. 

With an early bird price of $449, CHUWI is positioning the UniBook AI as an accessible option for users looking to experience on-device AI features without spending flagship laptop prices.

The CHUWI UniBook AI carries a regular retail price of $499, but customers who pre-order the laptop can purchase it for $449, saving $50 during the launch period. The offer is part of CHUWI’s “AI for Everyone, The Tournament for All” World Cup promotional campaign.

The company is also extending discounts of up to $50 on several other products, including the CoreBook Air 226V, AuBox X Copilot+ PCs, Hi10 Max 2-in-1 Windows Tablet, and CoreBook Air 1KG, giving buyers additional options if they are looking for other Windows devices.

Over the years, Chuwi has built a solid reputation for itself in the tablet/laptop market. Despite the fall in tablet popularity, Chuwi kept faith in the market and was doing well. Just like all other Chinese firms, the company had gone into the Chinese Lunar New year holidays with high expectations and plans for the new year until the Coronavirus epidemic happened. As a result of the health situation, the government extended the holidays and even after the tension, most workers couldn’t return to work. Apparently, Chuwi has shut down production all this while but is now set to resume business activities for the year. A press release by the company indicates that the tablet brand will open shop again on February, 26 which is today.

The COVID-19 has had severe effects on companies in China and even on the Chinese economy. Presently, it has even spread beyond the shores of China into other countries with no cure in sight. China has been able to relatively contain the spread with the adoption of several measures that prevent cross-infection.

Chuwi says it has gotten the approval of the Chinese authorities to resume work. The PC maker is, thus, craving for the support of fans the world over while also appreciating its fans for their support in time past. The company is already expected to launch the HeroBox Mini-PC, HeroBook Pro laptop and the Hi 10X 2-in-1 tablet.

Chuwi LapBook 14.1 was made official on Dec. 22. It features a 14.1-inch IPS display that offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the 7^th generation Intel Apollo Lake N3450 processor along with the latest 9^th generation Intel HD graphics.

The LapBook 14.1 is not designed for high-end gaming, but it can support titles that require moderate system requirements.

The chipset is supported by 4 GB of RAM and it features a native storage of 64 GB. For connectivity, it is packed with two full-sized USB ports. It also features 2.4/5 GHz dual Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Chuwi LapBook 14.1 comes loaded with Windows 10 Redstone operating system. It features a massive 9,000 mAh Li-polymer battery to keep the lights on.

Chuwi had released its first ever laptop named Chuwi LapBook 15.6 in October. It has a 15.6-inch full HD screen and includes an Intel X5 series quad-core processor. The LapBook 14.1 is its second notebook iteration that comes with a smaller screen.

The original LapBook features a slightly larger battery of 10,000 mAh. It also features a 2-megapixel camera, a feature that is unavailable on the newer device. Both the laptops have same RAM and storage capacities.
