Now, months ahead of the official launch, a new report claims that the South Korean giant has started mass production of some of the components for the upcoming flagship smartphones.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://winfuture.de/news,126115.html">report coming from <em>WinFuture</em></a> claims that Samsung has started mass production of components for the three upcoming flagship phones &#8212; Galaxy S22 (SM-S901), Galaxy S22 Plus (SM-S906), and the Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908).</p>
<figure id="attachment_420056" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-420056" style="width: 770px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-420056 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-s22-ultra-smartphone-770x684.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung" width="770" height="684" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-s22-ultra-smartphone-770x684.jpg 770w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-s22-ultra-smartphone-770x684-300x266.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-s22-ultra-smartphone-770x684-768x682.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-s22-ultra-smartphone-770x684-696x618.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-s22-ultra-smartphone-770x684-473x420.jpg 473w" sizes="(max-width: 770px) 100vw, 770px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-420056" class="wp-caption-text">Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Render</figcaption></figure>
<p>It further adds that the process, which started sometime last week, is currently limited to a small number of parts, such as flex cables. Also, the report says that the company is currently focusing on the US variant and will then work on other models.</p>
<p>As for the launch date, there&#8217;s no confirmation about it. Some reports indicate that the devices will go official towards the end of January 2022 while there are other reports indicating the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/06/samsung-galaxy-s21-fe-launch-jan-galaxy-s22-delay/">launch sometime in February</a>.</p>
<p>Earlier, there were reports about the Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup getting launched in January but apparently, the launch has been pushed back to February as the company is now gearing up to launch the much-delayed <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung-galaxy-s21-fe">Galaxy S21 FE</a> in January 2022. This could happen during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022.</p>
<p>Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is rumored to sport a 6.8-inch QHD+ LTPO <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amoled">AMOLED display</a> with a 120HZ refresh rate. The phone will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC or the Exynos 2200 depending on the region.</p>
<p>Its rear-facing <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/26/samsung-galaxy-s22-ultra-camera-specs-leak/">camera module may include</a> a 108-megapixel main snapper, a 12-megapixel ultrawide shooter, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom.</p>
<p>The smartphone is also said to feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/09/samsung-galaxy-s22-ultra-note-22-dummy-unit-leaks-corroborate-integration-of-s-pen-rumors/">dedicated slot for storing the S Pen stylus</a>. In the software devices, all the models in the lineup will come with Android 12-based One UI 4.0 out-of-the-box. The S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are likely to house a 3,700mAh, a 4,500mAh, and a 5,000mAh battery, respectively. The Ultra model will support <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/25/samsung-galaxy-s22-ultra-likely-to-support-45w-fast-charging/">45W fast charging</a>, whereas the S22 and S22 Plus may continue to support 25W fast charging.</p>
