Dell, one of the most well-known names in the PC and laptop industry has just launched a new gaming laptop in India called the Dell G15 AMD Edition. This laptop is offered in five different SKUs which all come powered by AMD Ryzen 6000 H series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs. So let’s take a look at their specs, features, and pricing.

Dell G15 AMD Edition specifications

The Dell G15 AMD Edition features a 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display with 300nits of brightness. It is offered with 120Hz refresh rate, but 165Hz refresh rate options are also available. Other than that, the display covers 45 percent NTSC color gamut and it is a WVA Anti-Glare panel meaning that you’ll get a better viewing range compared to a TN panel.

Under the hood, the base model of the laptop comes powered with an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H CPU paired with the Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU. On the other hand, the top-end model comes with a Ryzen Ryzen 7 6800HX processor paired with Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU. It offers up to 16GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB M.2 Gen 4 SSD.

To keep the thermals under control, the laptop offers a cooling system consisting of a dual-air intake, ultra-thin fan blades, copper pipes, and four vents. It boots Windows 11 out of the box and also comes with  Alienware Command Center software to control the fan speeds of the laptop. The I/O has HDMI 2.1, three USB-A, USB Type-C with display port, headphone/mic, and RJ45. Last but not the least, the G15 AMD Edition features a 86 WHr, 6-cell battery.

The laptop comes with five different configurations which are listed below.

• Ryzen 7 + Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti 4G + 16GB RAM – Rs 107,990 ($1,337)

Dell has unveiled two gaming laptop models to the Indian market. The Dell G15 and Dell G15 SE gaming laptops are priced starting from Rs. 85,990 (~$1,105) for the G15 5520 and Rs. 118, 990 (~$1,529) for the G15 5521 SE.

Both laptops come with several gaming-focused features that will likely draw the attention of gaming enthusiasts in the subcontinent. Both models have the 12th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU. Both models also sport 15.6-inch screens but with different display configurations. The Dell G15 5520 has an FHD IPS display with up to a 165Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the G15 5521 SE has a Quad+HD IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU has an 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory. The RAM/ storage configuration for both gaming laptops is 16GB/ 512GB. Dolby Audio is also present in the new Dell G15 lineup of gaming laptops. Dolby Audio provides 3D gameplay with 360-degree audio and voice booting technology. The laptops also come with a design that helps to deliver a great gaming experience for gamers. The Alienware Command Center enables control of both hardware and software for enhanced performance.

The two Dell G15 lineup of gaming laptops have an array of ports featured in the laptop. They include USB 3.1 Gen 1, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI port, USB-C port, and an Ethernet port, among others. The laptops have an RGB backlit keyboard with a numeric keypad and G-key. Connectivity is via Wi-Fi 6.0 and Bluetooth 5.2. Both models are available in India from Dell Exclusive Stores (DES), the Dell website, as well as retail outlets across the country. The Dell G15 5520 comes in dark shadow grey color while the special edition model (G15 5521 SE) is offered in Obsidian black color.
