<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-338075 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-1024x608.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Logo Blue Featured" width="696" height="413" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-1024x608.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-300x178.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-768x456.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-696x413.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-1068x634.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-707x420.jpg 707w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-Logo-Blue-Featured-1920x1140.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">It is not the first time we are hearing about an affordable foldable handset from </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Samsung/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Samsung</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. In late June, a report </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/29/report-galaxy-fold-lite-launch-postponed-to-2021/"><span style="font-weight: 400">claimed </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">the chaebol to have postponed the launch of this phone to next year &#8211; 2021. The exact marketing name of this product is a mystery.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">But now, an exclusive leak by </span><a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/exclusive-first-sign-budget-samsung-foldable-phone/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400">SamMobile </span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400">reveals this smartphone to carry model number </span><b>SM-F415</b><span style="font-weight: 400">. For those unaware, Samsung uses SM-Fxxx for its Galaxy Z series phones. Also, the leak claims this handset to come in 64GB and 128GB storage configurations.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unfortunately, that’s the only information the publication has managed to procure so far. It is not known how cheap it will be compared to the current-gen foldables from the company. To lower the price,  it may come with a mid-range processor and inferior cameras.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Anyway, it is a good sign for the commercialization of foldables. Soon, we may find this form factor in every price segment in no time if it all goes fine like the smartphone revolution.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">For years, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Samsung/">Samsung</a> had been long known for updating its Android devices slower than other OEMs. With strong criticisms, the company improved its mobile software by a long shot. At present, One UI is arguably one of the best Android skins out there.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">That said, at the Galaxy Note20 series launch event, Samsung surprised everyone by extending Android OS upgrade by one more year for its flagships. It even </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/06/samsung-announces-android-11-based-one-ui-3-developer-beta-for-galaxy-s20-series/"><span style="font-weight: 400">opened registrations</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> for One UI 3  (Android 11) Developer Beta for Galaxy S20 series much earlier than One UI 2.0 last year.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">What’s more interesting is Samsung’s inclusion of its mid-range Galaxy A series for three Android updates. It was merely speculation last week but now, the South Korean tech giant breaks the ice by officially </span><a href="http://www.samsungmobilepress.com/pressreleases/samsung-raises-the-bar-for-mobile-experience-innovation-committing-to-three-generations-of-android-os-upgrades"><span style="font-weight: 400">releasing </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">the list of Galaxy devices eligible for three (3) generations of Android updates.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">With that being said, here’s the official list of Samsung smartphones and tablets eligible/supported for three generations of Android updates.</span></p>
