Some <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/08/honor-x10-5g-camera-samples-everest-expedition/">samples captured by the 10X</a> were shared, the same way Xiaomi shared<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/07/xiaomi-releases-mi-10-pro-samples-from-chinas-latest-mount-everest-expedition/"> samples captured by the Mi 10 Pro</a>. The tech giant has shared some more images from the expedition and one of them is the real-life image of the Honor 10X 5G which was used to test the 5G connectivity on the mountain. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-321673" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-3.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="690" height="624" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-3.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-3-300x271.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-3-464x420.jpg 464w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>The 5G test is said to have been conducted at an altitude of 5800-6500 meters.  The phone was able to achieve a download speed of 5G can reach 1617Mbps, the upload speed reaches 90.3Mbps, and the ping value is only 74ms. Thi test is perhaps made possible by the 5G base station established by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/22/huawei-and-chinese-telecom-operators-bring-5g-network-to-mount-everest/">Huawei and China Telecom last month</a>. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-6.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-321676" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-6.jpg?x44794" alt="Honor 10X" width="690" height="624" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-6.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-6-300x271.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-6-464x420.jpg 464w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>About the phone, the front view is all we get to see now but this will suffice considering that the 10X has been certified by TENAA but it is usually difficult to make out any details from the front shots shared by the certification outfit. The image shows the Honor 10X will come with a notch-less, bezel-less design. The bezels are almost non-existent on the top and side edges that are visible on the picture. In addition, the device will feature a pop-up selfie camera.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-2.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-321672" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="690" height="624" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-2.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-2-300x271.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/honor-10x-2-464x420.jpg 464w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>TENAA data shows the Honor 10X will pack a matrix rear camera design. The device will sport a 6.63-inch LCD screen with a 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution. The mid-range phone is equipped with a Kirin 820 5G chip, a built-in 4200mAh battery with 22.5W fast charge support, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.</p>

Thus, it is assumed to be the cheapest 5G smartphone from the house of Huawei for the year 2020.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Unfortunately, it may not beat the pricing of</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/21/xiaomi-will-launch-an-ultra-cheap-999-yuan-141-5g-smartphone-by-the-end-of-2020/"><span style="font-weight: 400;"> 999 Yuan 5G smartphone</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> that Xiaomi has planned to release in November. For comparison, the Honor 9X series which currently has </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/17/honor-9x-series-sells-over-10-million-units-in-china/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">sold over 10 million units</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in China debuted for 1,399 Yuan ($197). Hence, we expect the Honor 10X series to start at a similar price.</span></p>

<p>Historically, the Honor X series of smartphones targetted the highly competitive mid range segment in the market. So an Honor 10X is very likely to be in the works and should target the same segment as well. The report regarding its eventual launch arrived from a Weibo post, a Chinese microblogging website. It was shared by the official Weibo account of @长安数码君, which also revealed one of its key specs.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, the post doesn&#8217;t share finer details regarding the smartphone but does share an image and shares a crucial component it will house. While the Honor 9X feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/kirin-810/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kirin 810</a> SoC, the Honor 10X will receive 5G support through the upcoming Kirin 820 processor. For those unaware, the Kirin is a proprietary chipset from Huawei and is manufactured by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tsmc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">TSMC</a>.</p>

<p>If it is indeed the successor to the Kirin 810, we can expected decent performance for the similar price range it may arrive in. Although, 5G networking is undoubtedly one of the most important inclusions in the series. If the leak is true, then the Honor 10X will be the first 5G smartphone in the lineup. The 9X was released back in 23rd July 2019, so the Honor 10X should also be expected to arrive around the same time frame.</p>
