<p>Choosing between the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/05/redmi-turbo-4-benchmark-results/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Turbo 4</a> and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/17/honor-gt-gaming-smartphone-launched-china/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Honor GT </a>highlights the evolving competition in mid-range smartphones, where performance, design, and value are more critical than ever. Both devices pack impressive features, but their unique strengths cater to different user needs. This comparison dives into key aspects like design, specs, cameras, and pricing, to help you decide which device aligns better with your lifestyle and priorities.</p>

<h3><strong>Design and Display</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="569" height="679" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-35.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667813" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-35.png 569w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-35-251x300.png 251w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-35-352x420.png 352w" sizes="(max-width: 569px) 100vw, 569px" /><figcaption>Redmi Turbo 4</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Redmi Turbo 4 impresses with an IP68 rating, offering superior water and dust resistance compared to the IP65 rating of the Honor GT. Both phones feature AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates, but the Turbo 4 edges ahead with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid support, alongside a peak brightness of 3200 nits, making it exceptional for outdoor viewing. The Honor GT counters with a slightly larger 6.7-inch display and a screen-to-body ratio of ~90.8%, offering a more immersive viewing experience. However, its 4000 nits peak brightness feels overly niche, primarily benefiting HDR content.</p>

<p>The Redmi Turbo 4 takes the lead for display quality, thanks to its HDR capabilities and extreme brightness, while the Honor GT is more visually appealing with a slimmer bezel design.</p>

<h3><strong>Specifications </strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="381" height="502" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-36.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667821" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-36.png 381w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-36-228x300.png 228w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-36-319x420.png 319w" sizes="(max-width: 381px) 100vw, 381px" /><figcaption>Honor GT</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Honor GT packs the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, delivering unmatched performance, especially for gaming and multitasking. Meanwhile, the Redmi Turbo 4’s Dimensity 8400 Ultra is no slouch but falls slightly behind in raw power. The Redmi Turbo 4 boasts a larger 6550 mAh battery with 90W fast charging, whereas the Honor GT offers a smaller 5300 mAh battery but compensates with faster 100W charging and 5W reverse charging.</p>

<p>The Honor GT’s chipset and faster charging are ideal for performance enthusiasts, but the Redmi Turbo 4’s larger battery is a better choice for power users needing extended uptime.</p>

<h3><strong>Camera</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="555" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37-1024x555.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667822" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37-1024x555.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37-300x163.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37-768x416.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37-696x377.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37-1068x580.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37-775x420.png 775w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-37.png 1107w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Honor GT</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Redmi Turbo 4 sports a 50MP f/1.5 main sensor, promising better low-light performance with a larger aperture. Its secondary 8MP ultrawide sensor, while adequate, is outshined by the Honor GT’s 12MP ultrawide with autofocus, which offers greater versatility. Honor GT’s main camera also features a larger sensor size but has a narrower aperture, affecting low-light photography slightly. Both phones excel in video capture, offering 4K and gyro-EIS.</p>

<p>The Redmi Turbo 4’s superior aperture is better for night shots, while the Honor GT’s ultrawide camera stands out for versatility, making it a better choice for diverse photography needs.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing</strong></h3>

<p>The Redmi Turbo 4 is priced at around $290, while the Honor GT costs approximately $310. Considering the Honor GT’s advanced chipset and slightly better camera setup, the additional cost seems justified for users prioritizing performance and versatility. Conversely, the Redmi Turbo 4 delivers excellent value for those focused on display quality and battery life.</p>

<p>Both phones are competitively priced, but the choice depends on individual priorities. Redmi Turbo 4 suits budget-conscious users, while the Honor GT offers better overall performance for a marginally higher price.</p>

<div class="wp-container-1 wp-block-buttons">
<div class="wp-block-button aligncenter"><a class="wp-block-button__link" href="https://www.giztop.com/redmi-turbo-4-phone.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Buy &#8211; Redmi Turbo 4</a></div>
</div>

<hr class="wp-block-separator"/>

<h3><strong>Conclusion</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="599" height="687" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-38.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667823" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-38.png 599w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-38-262x300.png 262w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-38-366x420.png 366w" sizes="(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px" /><figcaption>Redmi Turbo 4</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Redmi Turbo 4 features cutting-edge HDR standards and a massive battery, making it ideal for media consumption and extended usage. The Honor GT stands out with reverse wired charging, Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, ensuring future-proof performance. Both offer premium builds, but the Turbo 4’s IP68 rating and exceptional brightness are rare at this price.</p>

<p>Redmi Turbo 4 caters to everyday users who prioritize longevity and visuals, while the Honor GT appeals to tech enthusiasts seeking top-tier performance and unique features like Wi-Fi 7.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/17/honor-gt-gaming-smartphone-launched-china/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Honor GT gaming smartphone was just launched</a> in China last month. However, Xiaomi also unveiled the Redmi K80 and Redmi Turbo 4 recently with specs that are comparable to the Honor GT. So let&#8217;s see if the new gaming phone can take on Redmi&#8217;s latest devices.</p>

<h3>Honor GT vs Redmi K80 &amp; Redmi Turbo 4: Design and Display</h3>

<p>Both the Redmi K80 and Turbo 4 weigh slightly over 200 grams and measure 8.1mm in thickness. But despite being a gaming smartphone, the Honor GT has a slimmer 7.7mm and a lighter 196 grams body. Although, the look is based on preference with the Turbo 4 bringing a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/31/how-redmi-turbo-4-resembles-iphone-16/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">design reminiscent of the iPhone 16</a>. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="532" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1024x532.png?x44794" alt="Honor GT" class="wp-image-664731" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1024x532.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-300x156.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-768x399.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1536x798.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-696x362.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1068x555.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-809x420.png 809w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026.png 1823w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Honor GT</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>But one aspect the Redmi phones lead is the higher IP68/IP69 rating for protection against water and dust (can survive water immersion up to 1 meter &amp; high temperature water jet protection), against Honor GT&#8217;s IP65 rating (only offers protection against dust and jets of water).</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="800" height="631" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-Turbo-4.png?x44794" alt="Redmi Turbo 4" class="wp-image-667199" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-Turbo-4.png 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-Turbo-4-300x237.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-Turbo-4-768x606.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-Turbo-4-696x549.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-Turbo-4-532x420.png 532w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Redmi Turbo 4</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the front, the Honor GT sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 4000 nits of peak brightness. There are also various eye protection features like 3840Hz PWM dimming, low blue light emission, and adaptive dimming as well. Meanwhile, both the Redmi K80 and Turbo 4 feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with 3200 nits of peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. the Turbo gets a 1920Hz PWM dimming, while the K80 brings a higher 2K resolution.</p>

<h3>Performance</h3>

<p>In our <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/03/redmi-turbo-4-compare-to-redmi-k80/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K80 and Redmi Turbo 4 comparison</a>, we noted how the Redmi Turbo 4 with the new Dimensity 8400 Ultra can match the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in benchmark performance and gaming. So we can expect the duo to be on par with the Honor GT gaming phone as well since it also houses Snapdragon&#8217;s last gen flagship chip (8 Gen 3). </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-1024x768.jpeg?x44794" alt="Redmi K80" class="wp-image-662062" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-696x522.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-1068x801.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-560x420.jpeg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-80x60.jpeg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3-265x198.jpeg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-3.jpeg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi K80</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Similar to the K80, it brings up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. However, the Honor GT placed a great emphasis on cooling as it features a 3D natural circulation cooling system to ensure optimal performance even during long gaming sessions. </p>

<p>Unfortunately, the Honor GT lags behind on the battery side. It is powered by a notable 5,300mAh battery, but the K80 and Turbo 4 packs a massive 6,550mAh cell. While these Redmi phones offer 90W wired fast charging, the Honor GT brings slightly faster 100W fast charging rates.</p>

<h3>Camera</h3>

<p>Both Redmi models are nearly identical with their camera modules, bringing a 50MP main and an 8MP ultra wide angle lens on the rear. The front houses a 20MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Just like these two phones, the Honor GT also offers a 50MP primary shooter but with a 12MP ultra wide angle lens that brings 4K video recording support. The ultra wide sensor has a slightly higher resolution, but the selfie camera gets a 16MP resolution on the front. So only real world tests could determine which of these is better.</p>

<h3>Pricing</h3>

<p>The Honor GT was unveiled with a starting price tag of 2,199 Yuan or about $300. This makes it a budget flagship killer phone, sitting right between the Turbo 4 which costs 1,999 Yuan and Redmi K80 which is priced at 2,499 Yuan. So the best option might be based on your budget and whether you are into mobile gaming.</p>

<p>With the next generation of flagship smartphones launching with Snapdragon 8 Elite chips, more devices with last year&#8217;s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 have started launching for more affordable prices. So now, let&#8217;s compare the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/17/honor-gt-gaming-smartphone-launched-china/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Honor GT gaming phone</a> with Xiaomi&#8217;s budget flagship, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k80/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K80</a>.</p>

<h3>Honor GT vs Redmi K80: Design &amp; Display</h3>

<p>Both models are quite similar in terms of internal specs but there are plenty of physical differences between the Honor GT and Redmi K80. The device built for gaming features a slim 7.7mm body, weighing around 196 grams. It sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 4000 nits of peak brightness, and 3840Hz PWM dimming.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-1024x768.jpeg?x44794" alt="Redmi K80" class="wp-image-662061" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-696x522.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-1068x801.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-560x420.jpeg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-80x60.jpeg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4-265x198.jpeg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-4.jpeg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi K80</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Meanwhile, the Redmi K80 has a thicker and heftier 8.1mm body that weighs 206 grams. On the front, it has a marginally smaller 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 2K resolution, 3200 nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. While Xiaomi definitely has the edge in resolution, the FHD+ panel on the Honor GT enables it to consistently hit 120fps in optimized games. So depending on your requirements, you can either choose between a higher resolution or a brighter screen.</p>

<h3>Performance</h3>

<p>While the Honor GT was built as a gaming smartphone, the Redmi K80 isn&#8217;t a slouch in performance either. The duo are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which brings top notch performance. So for an affordable price tag, both devices are great for gaming, multitasking, and every other task you throw at these phones. However, there are still slight differences under the hood.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="532" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1024x532.png?x44794" alt="Honor GT" class="wp-image-664731" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1024x532.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-300x156.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-768x399.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1536x798.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-696x362.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-1068x555.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026-809x420.png 809w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-17-062026.png 1823w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Honor GT</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Xiaomi has announced the Redmi K80 with a massive 6,550mAh battery pack. This is the largest battery on any Xiaomi smartphone. This cell also supports 90W wired fast charging. Meanwhile, the Honor GT has a noticeably smaller 5,300mAh battery pack, although it supports a faster 100W wired fast charging. So Xiaomi clearly has the edge in terms of battery life and would likely last longer when gaming.</p>

<h3>Camera</h3>

<p>In terms of photography, the Honor GT and Redmi K80 aren&#8217;t that different from one another. Honor&#8217;s gaming phone packs a 50MP main and 12MP ultra wide angle lens on the rear, with the front housing a 16MP selfie shooter. On the other hand, the K80 Pro has a triple camera setup. However, only the 50MP main and 8MP ultra wide angle lens are actually usable. The third sensor is a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, you get a 20MP shooter on the front.</p>

<h3>Pricing &amp; Verdict</h3>

<p>Xiaomi released the Redmi K80 with a 2,499 Yuan starting price, or around 346 US Dollars. This makes it slightly more expensive than the Honor GT, which starts from just 2,199 Yuan (roughly 301 US Dollars). So if you&#8217;re not on a strict budget, Honor might be the better pick thanks to its slimmer and lighter form factor along with a brighter and taller screen, and faster charging. But overall, the Redmi K80 seems like the better deal for just 40 Dollars more. You get a higher resolution panel and a significantly bigger battery.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Honor GT " class="wp-image-663554" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-1.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Honor GT </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>As can be seen in the new images, the Honor GT’s white variant has a dual-tone design equipped with flat edges. The rectangular rear camera setup includes dual cameras and a dual-tone flash, with a prominent red &#8220;GT&#8221; logo at the bottom-right corner. The bottom edge of the phone has a speaker, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a SIM slot.</p>

<p>The design is sleek and robust, hinting at a device focused on high performance and gaming, offering excellent value for money. While specific configurations have not been revealed, leaks suggest the phone will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-3">Snapdragon 8 Gen 3</a> mobile platform. It is expected to feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/05/honor-magic-7-rsr-gt-series-device-leak/">a 1.5K OLED flat screen</a> and support 100W wired fast charging.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="577" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-1024x577.jpg?x44794" alt="Honor GT official image" class="wp-image-663555" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-1536x865.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-1920x1081.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2-746x420.jpg 746w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-official-image-2.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Honor GT </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Industry insiders have praised Honor&#8217;s consistent performance and reliability, suggesting that the GT series will be competitive against similar models from other brands. It is expected to rival existing models, such as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k80">Redmi K80</a> and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/iqoo-neo-10/">iQOO Neo 10</a>. It will also compete with upcoming phones, such as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-neo-7/">Realme Neo 7</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-5/">OnePlus Ace 5</a>. Except for the Neo 7, which has the Dimensity 9300 Plus chip, all the other phones are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.</p>

<p>According to Honor&#8217;s CEO, Zhao Ming, the GT series will showcase unique and penetrating design concepts tailored for the AI era. The series is positioned as aimed at young users eager to experience the latest advancements.</p>

<p>Last month, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/cateagory/honor">Honor</a> unveiled the Honor 300 series of smartphones in China. Reports have claimed that the brand is gearing up to unveil a new Honor GT series phone this month in the home market. Today, the brand released the first teaser of the phone, revealing its design. Here’s a look at what’s known about the upcoming GT-series phone.</p>

<h3><strong>Honor GT’s first teaser released</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="576" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-576x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-663499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-768x1366.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-864x1536.jpg 864w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-1152x2048.jpg 1152w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-696x1237.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-1068x1899.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-1920x3414.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-236x420.jpg 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Honor-GT-teaser-scaled.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px" /><figcaption>Honor GT series teaser</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Today, Honor released the above teaser to hint at the design of the forthcoming Honor GT phone. The image reveals that the device features a rectangle-shaped camera module with the &#8220;GT&#8221; logo imprinted at the bottom-right corner.</p>

<p>The “GT” branding suggests that it will be a performance-focused smartphone. According to rumors, it will have the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-3">Snapdragon 8 Gen 3</a> chipset and support 100W fast charging. It is also expected to feature a flat OLED panel.</p>

<p>The inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset suggests that it will compete with the likes of the Redmi K80 and the iQOO Neo 10, which are also powered by the same chip. The recently unveiled <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/honor-300-pro">Honor 300 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/honor-300-ultra/">300 Ultra</a> are also equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. While the Pro model has a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (telephoto) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) triple camera setup, the Ultra edition features a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (periscope telephoto) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) triple camera unit.</p>

<p>Considering that the Honor GT will be a performance-oriented offering, photography is unlikely to be its major strength. However, to ensure a comprehensive user experience and to stay competitive in the market, the brand might consider offering an impressive primary camera. Honor is expected to unveil more details about the new GT later this week.</p>
