Back in July, Honor unveiled its MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 laptops with Ryzen’s 5000 series processors. Now, a few months later, the company has launched the laptops in Russia. The laptops come with a thin and light chassis and have a starting price of RUB 59,990(~$823).

The MagicBook 14 and 15 come with 14-inch and 15-inch IPS LCD panels with a Full-HD resolution. The screen has 300 nits of brightness and comes with DC dimming and a 100% sRGB color gamut. The display is certified for emitting low blue light and has a Flicker-free certification.

Inside, the duo is powered by the same AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processors with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD. The laptops come with aluminum built and pack 56WHr batteries. Both laptops get a 65W fast charging support which is claimed to charge the laptops from 0% to 65% in just 1 hour.

The laptops boot on Windows 10 Home but, are upgradeable to Windows 11. The MagicBook 14 measures 15.9mm in thickness, whereas, the MagicBook 15 has a thickness of 16.9mm. The former weighs 1.38 Kgs and the latter weighs 1.54 Kgs.

The MagicBook 14 and 15 are currently on pre-orders in Russia. The 14 is priced at RUB 59,990(~$822), whereas, the MagicBook 15 costs RUB 69,990(~$960). Interestingly, those who pre-order the laptops will get a free pair of Honor Earbuds 2 Lite and Honor MagicWatch 2.

Former Huawei subsidiary Honor released an updated version of its MagicBook series, and some of the models feature the latest Intel processors. The MagicBook 14 comes with a couple of processor options between Intel Core i7 and the Core i5. These processors boast of up to 4.7 GHz and 4.2 GHz, respectively. On the other hand, the MagicBook 15 will rely on the Intel Core i5 processor for the CPU.

The MagicBook series remains one of the popular products from Honor. In January this year, the MagicBook 14 and 15 were announced for the Chinese market with the same 11th generation Intel Core processors but paired with NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU. There is also a Ryzen edition of both laptops. This global version features the latest Intel Iris XE GPU that serves the purpose of gaming and other heavy uses. Both models, according to Honor, will have 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB internal storage capacity.

The MagicBook 14 has a 14-inch 1080p IPS LCD screen, while the MagicBook 15’s display is a 15-inch LCD panel with 1080p resolution. The batteries of the laptops also pack sufficient power, and the user is guaranteed several hours of activity on a full charge. There is also 65W fast charging support, which means you can get up to 45% of power within an hour of charging. The backlit keyboard also illuminates the devices when in a dark environment. Both models also feature a pop-up camera and dual heat pipes with a cooling fan to provide ambient performance always.

Since Huawei sold the Honor brand last year, the company has continued to flourish. The new models are available online via the Honor country-specific website for the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. Other markets are expected to follow suit shortly. The MagicBook 14 with an Intel Core i5 processor will sell at €849, while the Intel Core i7 edition will cost €1,200. The MagicBook 15 starts at €950.
