The HONOR 50 series is in the news for quite a while now. Ahead of the lineup’s launch, its features have started to emerge on the internet via leaks and certifications. But we are yet to learn more about these smartphones. That said, earlier today, a reliable tipster revealed one of the chipsets powering the HONOR 50 series.

The HONOR 50 series is rumored to include three devices, namely HONOR 50, HONOR 50 Pro, and HONOR 50 Pro+. But some reports say there will not be a Pro+ model. However, the entire specs of this handset have already been exposed by Master Lu, a popular Chinese benchmark platform.

Anyway, talking about the new leak by Digital Chat Station, one of the smartphones in the HONOR 50 series will be powered by an unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon SM7325 platform. As per him, the chipset will debut first on this lineup. Unfortunately, he did not specifically mention the model that will be housing this SoC.

For those unaware, this is not the first time we are hearing about SM7325. According to Roland Quandt (popular leaker), this SoC will be a toned-down version of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G

As per the leakster, this SoC will include a tri-cluster octa-core CPU consisting of a prime core, three performance cores, and four power-efficiency cores clocked at 2.7GHz, 2.4GHz, and 1.8GHz respectively.  This chipset will support up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM but Qualcomm already has test platforms with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

According to previous reports, two of the HONOR 50 series handsets will bear the model numbers NTH-AN00 and NRA-AN00 respectively. The former will support 66W fast charging, whereas the latter will have 100W fast charging support

Lastly, the vanilla HONOR 50 is said to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. On the other hand, the HONOR 50 Pro is tipped to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. But going by the leak, both may come with Qualcomm chipset.
