At least according to my opinion, the most attractive one if we talk about aesthetics is the Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro. It is compact and it has a less invasive camera module, as well as an elegant rear side. Despite it has a side-mounted fingerprint reader instead of an in-display sensor like the Redmi 10X Pro, the Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro is even thinner and lighter. These are the reasons why it wins the design comparison.

Display

The most beautiful display belongs to the Redmi 10X Pro as it is the only one to offer an AMOLED panel with deeper blacks and more brilliant colors. It even comes with the HDR10+ certification. On the other hand, Honor 10X Pro sports one of the widest panels in the whole market with a 7.09-inch diagonal. Further, its display remains a great panel: it is an IPS display, but it is HDR10 certified and it delivers great overall quality. Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro is probably inferior in terms of image quality, but it offers a higher 90 Hz refresh rate for a smoother experience.

Specs & Software

Honor 10X Max and Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro are powered by the Dimensity 800 mobile platform by MediaTek. The Redmi 10X Pro is much better due to the presence of a more powerful Dimensity 820. The Dimensity 820 chipset is paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage, while with the Honor 10X Max and the Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro you get max 128 GB of internal storage. In each case, you can expand the internal storage and you get Android 10 out of the box.

Camera

Honor 10X Max, Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro, and Redmi 10X Pro come with similar camera setups, but the Redmi 10X Pro wins the camera comparison. The main sensor is the same on each device, but Redmi 10X Pro sports an additional telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, as well as a better macro sensor. Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro takes the silver medal with a 48 MP triple camera including an ultrawide sensor and a better front camera than Honor X10 Max. The starting price of the Redmi 10X Pro is €290/$325, while the Honor X10 Max starts from €240/$270, and Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro costs €250/$280 in its base variant. Judging from the overall specifications, Redmi 10X Pro looks more interesting thanks to its AMOLED display, stronger chipset, and better cameras, but Honor 10X Max is a unique device thanks to its huge display which can be very suitable for productivity and power users.

Honor announced its large screen flagship, the Honor X10 Max in China today. This is the company’s largest smartphone in 2020 featuring a massive 7.09-inch display, ideal for entertainment and gaming. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset, making it the third such Huawei/ Honor device in the past few weeks.

Honor X10 Max 5G Design & Display

The phone follows a similar design scheme as the Honor X10 that was announced back in May. This includes a rectangular camera housing and a slightly curved back. However, instead of a pop-up selfie camera like the Honor X10, the Max features a traditional waterdrop display on the screen. In case you are wondering, the Max retains the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as the side-mounted fingerprint (power button) similar to its smaller sibling.

The Honor X10 Max measures 174.37 x 84.91 x 8.3mm and weighs 227 grams. Clearly it’s not going to be a device for one-handed use. But still, the company has managed to shave off some bezels on the new model. If you recall, the 2018 Honor 8X Max with a 7-inch+ display had a slightly larger form factor: 177.6 x 86.3 x 8.1 mm.

You get a large 7.09-inch IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution. The LCD panel supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10. It’s pretty bright as well with a peak brightness of 780 nits.

The Honor X10 Max comes with an RGBW panel instead of the traditional RGB. The additional W – white subpixels will reduce the power consumption of the panel when white is being displayed. Therefore, Honor claims that by using an RBGW panel, the X10 Max will ensure reduced power consumption as compared to traditional LCD panel phones. The panel also filters out harmful Blue light (415-455nm) via software.

Note that the display doesn’t support a high refresh rate. So it’s a standard 60Hz panel.

Honor X10 Max Hardware

Under the hood, the Honor X10 Max is powered by the Dimensity 800 5G chipset. You get to choose between 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It’s clear that the company is looking to keep the price low as you don’t even get a 256GB ROM option.

The primary camera on the phone is a 48MP shooter that’s paired with an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth sensor. Up front, you get an 8MP selfie shooter on the waterdrop notch.

Given the humongous size of the screen, the phone features an appropriately sized battery too. You get a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging, much larger than X10’s 4300mAh capacity.

The Honor X10 Max also features dual 1217 linear stereo speakers with smart PA for amplifying its sound. The phone also supports Huawei Histen 6.1 sound.

Other features include 802.11 ca Wi-Fi, AGPS, Glonass, Beidou, and NFC.

If you want a 5G phone with a pretty large display, then the upcoming Honor X10 Max should be on your radar. The phone is being touted as the 5G phone with the biggest display. Ahead of the phone’s launch, live photos showing all three color variants it will be available in have been posted on Weibo.

The Honor X10 Max will come in black, blue, and purple as seen in the images below. The phone has stereo speakers (speaker grille at the top and bottom), an audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The phone is also shown to have two cameras, one of which is a 48MP sensor. The writing on the camera housing reads “Super Night Vision” which means it has enhanced features for taking pictures in low-light. The pictures were posted by Digital Chat Station and he added that the phone has support for multi-functional NFC too.

None of the images show the front of the phone but an earlier leak already revealed the Honor X10 Max’ 7.02-inch FHD+ screen has a waterdrop notch. It has also been reported that the display uses RGBW technology which enhances the brightness and reduces power consumption.

The KKG-AN00 smartphone recently appeared at the database of China’s TENAA telecom authority with entire specifications and images. Now, the handset has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform to confirm key details.

The Honor X10 Max 5G’s Geekbench listing reveals that it is fueled by a MediaTek octa-core processor that has a base frequency of 2.00GHz. The SoC is mentioned with its MT6873 model number which belongs to the Dimensity 800 5G SoC.

The smartphone is now up for reservations in China through Suning.com. The listing has the front renders of the smartphone. Through a new Weibo post, the same tipster has revealed some vital information on the screen of the X10 Max.

Zhao Ming, President at Honor said that he is glad to be able to keep his promise about launching a larger display smartphone. Apparently, around two years ago, he had promised that the company will launch a device with a larger display within two years.

Not only Honor, but several other smartphone brands are also either gearing up to launch a 7-inch display smartphone or have already launched it. Samsung is rumored to soon launch Galaxy M41 is said to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ CSOT flexible OLED panel from TCL.

Recently, Tecno Spark Power 2 smartphone got launched in the Indian market which features a 7-inch display. It is a budget offering powered by a 6,000mAh battery and has a starting price of ₹9,999, which is about $131.

Huawei‘s sub-brand Honor is reportedly gearing up to launch two new smartphones in its home market of China. As per the reports, the company could launch Honor X10 Max and the Honor 30 Youth Edition next month.

While the exact launch date for these two upcoming devices has not been revealed yet, they will reportedly get launched in early July. If that’s the case, then we expect the company to start hinting or make an announcement in the coming days.

Previous leaks have indicated that the Honor X10 Max features a 7.09-inch display with support for DCI-P3 wide color gamut. Since there’s no punch-hole cutout visible, it’s safe to assume that the phone will have a pop-up mechanism for the front camera.

When the phone gets launched, it could become the biggest 5G smartphone of the year with a massive 7-inch screen. The device is expected to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G processor.

As for the Honor 30 Youth Edition (or Honor 30 Lite), nothing is known about the phone at this point in time. But from the name, it seems that it could be the entry-level offering in the Honor 30 lineup which was launched a couple of months ago.

Although it is said that the Honor 30 Youth Edition and the Honor X10 Max will get launched next month, there’s currently no launch date information about the Honor X10 Pro 5G smartphone. We expect the company to share more information about the phone and reveal the launch date in the coming days.
