The Honor 30 Youth Edition has just been announced. It was announced earlier today (2nd July 2020) along with the Honor X10 Max. The device is a mid range handset from the Huawei subsidiary and supports 5G networking as well.
Specs and Features
The Honor Youth 30 Edition sports a 6.5 inch display with a screen to body ratio of 91.2 percent and a 16 megapixel selfie shooter. It has a resolution of 2400 x 1080px that features a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate for smooth response times. On the rear, the handset houses a 48 megapixel primary camera along with an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and 2 megapixel macro sensor. It supports 4K video capture and other AI image enhancement algorithms as well.
The rear panel is a 2.5D glass panel made from 9 layers with anti-fingerprint coating. Notably, its fingerprint sensor can be found on the side. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery pack that supports fast charging up to 22.5W, which can charge the device over 50 percent in just 30 mins and fully charge in 90 minutes. On a single full, the Honor 30 Youth Edition can last for 10 hours when using navigation, 50 hours while listening to music, and 12.5 hours of continuous calls.

On the software front, the Honor 30 Youth Edition ships with the Android 10 based Magic UI 3.1 custom skin. This includes various new features like HiCall, video enhancements with HDR10 supports, and more. Under the hood, a MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC runs the smartphone, which also supports dual mode 5G. In terms of memory, multiple variants will be available with 6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage options.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor 30 Youth Edition will be available for purchase from 8th July 2020, with pre-orders starting later today. It will be offered in 4 color variants, including Magic Night Black, Wizard of Oz, Summer Rainbow, and Magic Mirror Silver and its pricing for different variants include:
- 6GB RAM + 64GB Storage – 1,699 Yuan (roughly 240 US Dollars)
- 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage – 1,899 Yuan (roughly 268 US Dollars)
- 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage – 2,199 Yuan (roughly 311 US Dollars)
