Despite a year-on-year increase in screen sizes, few phones cross the 7-inch mark mainly due to the difficulty in handling associated with sizes that big. Honor X30 Max is thus one of those rare offerings with a focus on media consumption above everything else, and will be bringing a massive 7.09-inch screen.

Honor Mobile confirmed the screen size today through a post on Weibo, adding that the Honor X30 Max will also be featuring a dual stereo speaker setup to deliver an amazing video+audio experience.

The screen is expected to be an LCD panel and will have a waterdrop notch. The bezels around it seem to be quite slim, with a slightly wider chin. The side of the phone has volume and power buttons, with the latter also packing a fingerprint sensor.

The Honor X30 Max has multiple speaker openings on the top and bottom, and dual rear cameras. According to previous reports, it will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor. A Geekbench 5 listing had also revealed that the phone will have 8 gigs of RAM and will run Android 11 out of the box. The battery is expected to be sized at a massive 6000mAh.

The Honor X30 Max is set to be released tomorrow (October 28) along with the Honor X30i and the Honor Play5 Vitality Edition.

Earlier today (22nd October 2021), Honor had officially announced the launch date for its upcoming X30 Max and X30i smartphones. Now, the company has also shared a new image teaser for the X30 Max, which reveals its front design.

Looking at the latest teaser poster, we can see that the X30 Max from the Chinese smartphone maker sports a waterdrop notch on the front. We had previously reported on a leaked image poster that also showcased this notch design, although, the new teaser from Honor has just officially confirmed this. For those unaware, the company is planning launching the X30 Max and X30i later this month on October 25, with the Play5 Vitality Edition also planned to be unveiled on the same date.

Talking about the specs of the X30 Max, the device will feature a massive 7.09 inch LCD screen with a waterdrop display that sports a Full HD+ resolution. On the front, an 8 megapixel camera is housed while the rear has a 64 megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2 megapixel depth sensor. Under the hood, a MediaTek Dimensity 900 runs the device along with 8GB of RAM and reportedly up to 256GB of internal storage. A massive 5,000mAh battery pack powers the smartphone that supports 22.5W charging.

The HONOR X30 Max is in the news for the past few days. We have been learning more about this smartphone with every new development. The latest information from a reliable leaker reveals almost everything about the handset.

A new image post (now deleted) by Digital Chat Station on Weibo exposes the key specifications of the upcoming HONOR X30 Max. These features go in line with the previous leaks.

According to the picture, the HONOR X30 Max will flaunt a 7.09-inch display with a 2280 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), a dewdrop notch, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio. This panel is said to have an RGBW pixel arrangement and DCI-P3 color gamut.

The brightness of the screen is rated to go as low as 2 nits. The display is not only certified for low blue light emission but also comes with multiple eye protection modes and a video algorithm.

To complement its large canvas, the handset will house dual stereo speakers powered by HONOR Histen Sound. These speakers are mentioned to sound 78dB loud at full volume.

Further, the device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. It will have support for GPU Turbo X as well as virtual RAM.

The smartphone will sport a 64MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) vertically aligned dual-camera setup on the rear. Whereas, on the front, an 8MP camera will be nested inside the notch. 

Other features of the phone will include multifunctional NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, smart multi-window, smart screen, 5,000mAh battery, and 22.5W fast charging.

Last but not least, the HONOR X30 Max will measure 174.37 x 84.91 x 8.3mm in dimensions and will arrive in three colors, namely Magical Night Black, Charm Sea Blue, and Titanium Silver.

So far, there has been no official word regarding the launch of this large screen phone from HONOR. Rumors say that it will debut in early November ahead of Double Eleven (Singles’ Day) shopping festival in China.
