The company shared an official launch date on its official X account (formerly Twitter). Looking at the teaser, HTC is set to unveil a new smartphone on 12th June 2024. The teaser shares an image of the device from the side along with the words “Coming Soon” underneath. While the official poster image does not officially state that it is the U24 series, the tweet carries the tag “AllForU”. So this is likely the HTC U24 or U24 Pro models.

To recall, the HTC U24 and U24 Pro were spotted on the GeekBench listing. The higher end Pro model also surfaced on the Google Play Console listing. Based on what we know so far, the smartphone is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, which is paired with at least one model with 12GB of RAM. So it is an upper mid-range model and gets an upgrade from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 on last year’s HTC U23.

This listing also confirms that it runs on the Android 14 OS out of the box. A Bluetooth SIG sighting confirmed support for Bluetooth 5.3. On Google Play Console, it was seen with a 1080×2436 resolution display that could be a tall 6.78-inch panel. This would likely offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to sport an OLED screen. The U23 series housed a 4,600mAH battery pack. So the U24 lineup might offer a larger 5,000mAh battery pack. Rumors surrounding HTC‘s upcoming smartphone intensify as details about an HTC smartphone have emerged on the Google Play Console. Codenamed “2QDA100,” this phone was also recently spotted on the Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG certification websites, and is believed to be the upcoming HTC U24 Pro.

The Google Play Console listing reveals that the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor paired with 12GB RAM. Additionally, the listing reveals that the display has a resolution of 1080×2436 pixels with 480 ppi pixel density. The display is expected to be 6.78 inches in size with a 120Hz refresh rate (based on previous leaks). The operating system will be based on Android 14.

The listing also reveals the front panel of the device, which features a curved display with a centered punch-hole camera. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack on the top side, while the bottom features a speaker grille and a USB Type-C port.

Currently, there is no official word of a possible launch date by the brand. However, as the device has already emerged on Bluetooth SIG, Geekbench and now Google Play Console, we can expect it to launch in the coming months.

It looks like HTC is working on a new smartphone which could launch soon. This new device recently made an appearance on Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG certification.

The device, identified by model number 2QDA100, is likely to be the successor of last year’s HTC U23. It could be called the HTC U24 or the U24 Pro. Geekbench results for the 2QDA100 show it scored 1,095 in single-core and 3,006 in multi-core tests.

The smartphone is expected to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, which includes an octa-core processor configuration and an integrated Adreno 720 GPU. It also features 12GB of RAM and will operate on Android 14. Considering the fact that the U23 from last year features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, the upcoming HTC U24/U24 Pro will offer vastly improved performance.
