The last example of this happened recently. The Chinese tech giant has started working on bringing new spatial audio content based on Audio Vivid technology for Huawei Music.

‘Audio Vivid’ is the world’s first AI technology-based audio codec standard that supports mainstream 3D sound encoding. This technology co-formulated and published by the World Ultra HD Video Industry Alliance (UWA) and the Digital Audio and Video Codec Standard Working Group (AVS). Audio Vivid can create a three-dimensional environment for sound and make a 3D sound effect like spatial audio.

The way spatial audio works

The company hopes to provide the effect of “being in the song” for the audience. When artists use Audio Vivid-based spatial audio technology to make music, they can customize the position, movement trajectory, sound volume, distance, and other factors. This creates a unique listening experience.
