Honor is reportedly working on multiple foldable phones. The company recently launched the Honor Magic V2 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. In the coming year, it is expected to launch the Magic Flip, which will be Honor’s first vertically foldable smartphone. However, with a couple of months remaining in this year, the brand may announce as many as two more foldable phones, such as the Honor Magic V Slim and the Honor Magic V2 Lite.

Before Honor unveiled the Honor Magic V2, there were rumors that the company might announce the device in two chipset variants. However, Honor only unveiled the Magic V2 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip last month. The rumored Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 variant was not announced.

It appears that the V2’s SD8G+1 variant does exist, as a Chinese tipster has revealed the existence of the Magic V2 Lite. He has also said that the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The other specifications of the device are not known yet. The “Lite” mentioned in the moniker of the device suggests that the device will be positioned below the Magic V2.

The tipster has hinted that the device will carry a cheaper price tag. The Magic V2 has a starting price of 8,999 Yuan (~$1,235). There is a possibility that the Magic V2 Lite could be priced at around 5,000 Yuan, making it one of the most affordable horizontally foldable phones in the Chinese market. Another reliable tipster, Teme, has confirmed its existence by calling it the Magic V2 Youth Edition, which is nothing but the Magic V2 Lite.

As far as the Magic V2 Slim is concerned, it is said to be a foldable phone with an outward folding design. The device is expected to debut in October this year in China. In all likelihood, the brand will announce one of these products along with the Magic V2 for the global market through its IFA 2023 keynote on Sept. 1.
