Honor unveiled the X5 budget smartphone in the international market earlier this year in January with Helio G25 SoC on board. Recently, rumors have been circulating that the brand is also working on the Honor X5 Plus. The phone has cleared TDRA certification and today, Honor went ahead and listed the smartphone on its global website. The pricing and availability of the device are not available yet, but we do get complete specifications.

Honor X5 Plus Specifications

Judging by the looks and specifications, Honor X5 Plus looks like a budget smartphone that might cost under $100. The handset gets a flat back with a dual camera setup. The sides are flat as well and you get a waterdrop notch on front with thick bezels. The phone’s display measures 6.56 inches and offers a 90Hz refresh rate, HD+ resolution, and 20:15:0 aspect ratio.

Honor says the display on the X5 Plus supports Dynamic Dimming technology that simulates the changes of natural light. This is supposed to reduce the eye fatigue that you might get otherwise. The handset comes powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 octa-core chipset.

For photography, the Honor X5 Plus gets a 50 MP camera (f/1.8) and a depth camera (f/2.4) of unknown megapixels. In the selfie camera department, you will see a 5MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture. Fueling the smartphone is a 5200mAh battery, and in case you run out of juice, prepare to experience 10W of superfast charging (pun intended).

The handset runs Android 13 out of the box with MagicOS 7.1 skin on top. It will be offered in Midnight Black and Cyan Lake colors. Honor should announce the pricing and availability of the device in the coming days. We’ll keep you posted.
