Honor has launched the X9e s in the Middle East, and the main reason to look at it is the battery. You get an 8,560mAh cell and 80W wired charging for 1,499 Saudi Riyal (about Rs 38,000), which puts battery life ahead of everything else on the spec sheet.

The phone isn’t a new design. It’s the Honor Turbo 5G under a different name. If you’ve read about that phone, you already know most of what’s here.

Under the hood

Honor packs the said 8,560mAh battery into a body that is 7.76 mm thick and weighs 196 grams. Honor hasn’t said how long a full charge takes at 80W, but claims it offers a 3-day battery life.

Honor is using the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 with an Adreno 810 GPU to power the phone. You get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and that’s the only configuration on sale, so there’s no cheaper or larger option to pick. The phone runs MagicOS 10 on top of Android 16.

The front has a 6.79-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel running at 120Hz. It reaches 1,800 nits at peak brightness and has 3,840Hz PWM dimming.

Honor X9e s display

On the back, the two lenses and an LED flash sit inside a round camera module. The main camera is 50MP, and it’s paired with a 5MP ultrawide. The front camera is 16MP.

The X9e s supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. For wired connectivity, you get a USB-C port, but it only runs at USB 2.0 speeds, so moving large files over a cable will be slow. To unlock the phone, you use an optical fingerprint scanner built into the display.
