Honor is set to unveil the Honor X50 mid-range phone in the Chinese market on July 5. Furthermore, reports suggest that the company may announce two foldable phones on July 12 in China. The approval from China’s MIIT authority indicates that Honor’s foldable phones are likely to be launched in the near future.

Honor Magic V2 series MIIT certified

In May, the MIIT authority approved one of Honor’s foldable phones with the model number VER-AN10. Later, it was spotted at the 3C certification platform with a 66W charger. Now, the other Honor foldable phone with model number VER-AN00 has received MIIT certification.

According to tipster WHY LAB, one of them will be called the Honor Magic V2, which will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. The tipster further said that the other model is likely to be called the Honor Magic V2 Supreme Edition, and it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

So far, reports have revealed that the Honor Magic V2 will come equipped with a custom-made 2K LTPO foldable screen with high-frequency dimming support. The device is likely to feature a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery that will support 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Magic V2 is said to feature a slimmer and lighter design like the Mate X3, which measures 156.9 x 72.4 x 11.8mm in the folded state and weighs around 240 grams. The Magic V2 is expected to rival the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 and OPPO Find N3 foldables phones that are expected to launch soon in the Chinese market.
